Great car park for visiting the waterfalls and visitors centre. Can get ridiculously full with people abandoning their cars on the access road. Best to go early to get a spot !!
A place we visit often to access the lovely circular walk from Low Force to High Force and back over the moor.
Parking is plentiful but beware of Bank Holidays when it can be extremely busy. There is a donation carpark charge - please give generously.
The tearooms at Bowlees are not always open but a full range of refreshments can be had at the High Force Hotel at the halfway point.
The waterfalls are spectacular but the river current can run very strong so dogs should be kept on lead for safety reasons. On the return side the paths crosses through grazing fields so please be aware of and respectful to the sheep, cattle and other wildlife.
Well looked after car park with caffe on site and toilets, perfect spot for lovely walking routes nearby. Parking is free of charge, however there is machine where you can make donations.
Great car park that relies on donation for a ticket. A lovely place to start and explore this part of beautiful teesdale with its waterfalls at gribsons and lowforce and the intermediate smaller falls between the big fellow of high force.,all set on the best section of the Pennine way. This areas at its best in autumn with the colours of the trees reflections in the river.
Really nice place and car park ....... But who carries coins with them these days? The parking needs to allow card payments as the location is in the middle of nowhere and getting cash then change was impossible so couldn't use the car park.
The genius of this car park is that you can pay what you want for a ticket. So, depending on your coinage and inclination, you can't fail to have the right change. Bonus points for getting rid of all the 5p's you've had since before lockdown.
Brilliant for walks, plan your routes, and off you go. Great views on the high routes, ensure you have gps, or maps
It's a donate and display car park, within walking distance of low force via a couple of squeeze styles.
