The couple that run Bombers are very welcoming and lovely people. I'm always met with a warm smile and an offer to bring my drink over when it's ready.
I'm an avid pool player, and they take terrific care of the pool tables, ensuring they're not abused and ruined for others.
After trying virtually all of the pubs in central Chippenham, nobody else's pool tables come close.
The table time and the drinks prices are very reasonable and less than I normally pay elsewhere.
I now pop in every Wednesday to practice. Thank you very much for having me!
Met up with a load of lads for a birthday celebration 3 weeks after it re-opened. They’ve done a really good job on the place, it’s fresh, plenty of traditional pool tables, several full size snooker tables in a quieter room. Well
Stocked bar, dartboards with proper ringed lighting around them, table football machine, and I think a fruit machine as well. Plenty of televisions for when sport is on, or if people want to listen to music channels. Good opening hours too, they have a late licence & if there are enough people in there, they’ll stay open. Very friendly owner & bar staff. It’s the best this building has looked in years. Prices are reasonable too, definitely an affordable day & night out. Best place in Chippenham for indoor sports & bar by a long shot.
Twice I have had confirmation of a table being booked to play only to turn up and the club being closed (incorrect opening time given) or the table being double booked with no knowledge of my "confirmed" booking. Twice I have been made to feel like this is my fault, even with messenger threads clearly stating the booking. Mistakes happen, but being disinterestedly shrugged at and spoken to aggressively is completely unacceptable. No acknowledgement while I was there with the message confirmations that it was in any way their fault.
Friendly staff, great quality tables, would recommend booking ahead on busier nights.
Absolutely brilliant place for a game of pool and snooker at a very reasonable price. Also a good range of beers too.

Great place to play pool. Tables are great and the price is very reasonable.
The new owners have done an amazing job since taking over. The sports bar has been revamped, the tables are of excellent quality and more importantly cared for, there’s a darts area plus a large tv screen for all the main events.
I play regularly here and the service and atmosphere is very relaxed which makes for a great experience.
I would highly recommend. The new owners have really pulled this place around.
