Best KPortal Reviews
The women on the front counter are useless, they will tell you what ever it suits them on the phone and then laugh at you when you turn up requesting appointments as they suggested.
They have no respect for the patients, and lack general skills of politeness and decency, they also have no idea how to act around people with anxiety and depression and think it's some sort of game.
They are by far the worst thing about the surgery, everyone else is amazing, hut they need a change of staff and these current front office people should be removed for people with full training or given training on how to treat people with at least an ounce of respect.
It saddens me to read so many poor reviews. I have been a patient of this surgery for many years and i only have had good experiences. From the reception staff, nurses and doctors; all have treated me with kindness and respect. I do not generally need to use the surgery too often but i am taken seriously if i need the service.
I found the staff very rude at the reception desk, not nice and helpful at all, they should employ younger ladies with better moods ! No appointment, nobody answer the phone! I had to go very often to the train station walking clinic with my son and wait there for hours! Also after 15 year I have been told that I am not longer welcome at this surgery as I moved house! I am happy to leave and I will do that as soon as possible!!!
This doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Probably the worst Doctor Surgery I've been going to so far. So it's coming up to 4 weeks since I started having pain and discharge in my ear. Yes, 4 weeks. 2 Doctors have wrongly said I had got a little Ear Infection. 1st time I had to beg for an appointment as Reception refused to give me one and even had to get my Mum involved to get me an appointment for that day because the pain was too much for me to leave for another week. Finally, got my appointment the 1st Doctor said I had little infection and Antibiotics will help the Infection go away within a week. No, nothing changed. 2nd time, 1 week later I found blood discharge in my ear and had to make an emergency appointment for that same day. 2nd Doctor I had got told the same again "little Infection" and given Ear Drops and Antibiotics to use within a week and once again, no change.
I went back last week having to make an emergency appointment and there was blood found again. Go back and get told by the 3rd Doctor that the previous Doctors I had were wrong about saying it was an Ear Infection and giving me all of these Antibiotics as it wouldn't of touched whatever I had at all. She said I had got a severe swelling in my ear (which has a name that I can't remember) and because it hadn't be treated properly it had enlarged and have to go to Hospital for it to be sucked out. 1 week later I hear nothing from the Hospital. Called the Doctors Surgery and all the time I have rude women basically telling me to wait. If this swelling was so severe then why is there still no appointment? I am really disappointed in this Doctors Surgery as because of them this Infection that I've got has become worse day by day.
Used to be very good before Dr Brown left.
Now it's impossible to get an appointment. The new doctor is more interested in hitting targets to earn money than in patient health.
Buildings old and shabby and most appointments are upstairs up a very steep staircase. I wouldn't recommend registering here.
Great doctor, who listens and explains things clearly. Reception have always been polite and helpful, whether on phone or at the surgery. Building may be old but a new one is forthcoming.
Reception apparently puts patient second place. Specifically ask for medicine on slip, they did the wrong on and I able to detect their mistake and phone straightaway and ask to fix their mistake and put right, receptionist said had to put request again so that will took another three days and was Friday that day.
Had to interrupt the treatment because they couldn't be bordered and they always blame doctors. Again basic mistakes and they need retraining
not much point calling it "doctors" when there are never any appointments available. tried calling in for about 5 days everyday same respond "all appointments gone for today". Reception seem like they are forced to work there. always upset. i think its time to change gp for me. wouldnt recommend it.
