Best chippy in the shire! A proper old fashioned chips shop. I traveled from North wingfield to go here for my grandad, and he says they were the best fish and chips since the good old days of Alice Barnett in north wingfield.
How anyone gives this 5 stars is beyond me, have you never been outside of bolsover? Batter was dry and tasted like card board, overcooked dry fish, not sure how you can mess up vinegar but there was no kick to it, Mrs had a battered sausage and she binned it. Not sure how everything was a miss, chips were dry seemed old and recooked. Never going again

Fantastic! Having recently moved back up north I have missed the original fish and chip shop. Fresh cooked to order Cod, chips fresh and all the condiments were lovely. Very friendly staff who show their passion for the quality of food they serve! Tom, Duckmanton
Fantastic food, great portion sizes and a fraction of a cost of other take-aways. I can feed my large family for a little over £20. Brilliant! The food is great, always fresh, and the owners are lovely and friendly too!
Always great fish and chips.
Was looking forward to a nice chip lunch, but I didn't get what I wanted. In fact I was very disappointed with my food. I'm sure it most of been left overs from the day before. Got to be the worst chip shop food I've ever had, I work all over the country and try many different place. Avoid like the plague. I bet the rats wouldn't even eat their.
