Stunning views over Bewl Water, but the Bistro doesn't just serve up great views the food was superb. Stand out mackerel main and the Eskimo bars for dessert were top, top, quality. Great service too.
Amazing views and lovely fish and chips. Just what we were after. Would have been nice if there were a few more options on fridays but good fish and chips nonetheless. Staff were lovely and helpful and the view was unbeatable.
A fantastic restaurant. Light & airy. Great menu and food. Pleasant staff. An exceptional place, well worth a visit!

Delicious. Really. Surprised. Congrats to their chef! One of my fav restaurants in Sussex from now on. Doesn’t feel expensive at all. We’ll come back, no doubt!

Spur of the moment and loved it, had smoked Duck starter that was amazing followed by roast beef and then a delicate chocolate ganashe. The staff were extremely busy on the Sunday I attended but everyone appeared to be as happy as we were with the service.
Staff were extremely engaging, heads up and eye contact looking to assist. We certainly make it a regular on the weekends.
Views from every table across the reservoir were stunning.
Setting superb
Food fine although we were not informed when we booked, the menu was only fish and chips and only one dessert.
Service terrible. It was so slow almost as if we had been forgotten, we had to chase the staff for drinks as the bar staff stopped our round to serve walk in customers and then when our meal finally arrived it was like they had prepared 5 and I had to wait while another was quickly sorted as there was 6 of us, then after we had to ask whether dessert was coming as we waited for some time and were quite prepared to leave, ice cream and chocolate brownie, nice but again no choice just the one item.
As it was for my sons 30th birthday I was a disappointed as it was a lovely day, and a superb setting but the service let it down.
We were so grateful for Thomas through our planning process and the wedding day itself. He gave such a genuine and personable approach to helping us frame our day and organised dead lines too. He really listened to our ideas and needs for our day and I must say he managed to fit in all that we wanted and within our budget too! He suggested ideas we hadn’t thought of and let us mix and match the menu to make it have the family warm feel we wanted. The guests were so impressed at how the day was managed and it flowed so well I didn’t worry about a thing or see any transition between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. He really looked after us on the day by bringing me out a warm drink during our photos in the rain! He made the effort to meet up with us in a local location to finalise plans and sent me the updated documents so we were always on the same page!
His team were super, the waitresses were very observant and polite, the food too was amazing! The venue is stunning night and day, rain or shine!
