Lovely cafe. Jane is a delight, really friendly owner, engages in conversation and makes you feel very welcome. I take several gentlemen there that I support with learning disabilities and they are wonderful with them there and make them feel equally welcome. All round brilliant experience. The food is reasonably priced and all made fresh to order and tastes great! Will continue to use this cafe as often as possible.
I like going here for a full English breakfast and have visited a few times. The staff are lovely and friendly and it is a nice little cafe. The only thing I’ve wanted to say, which is why I’m reviewing, is that I know they allow dogs in (not very hygienic but can understand to an extent) but the last time I went with my 6 year old, we was eating at the table closest to the door when a couple with a dog walked in and sat next to us even though there was empty tables everywhere. We got our food and started to eat, lovely, just about halfway through the couple were leaving they went past our table and the dog (Labrador) stopped right in front of us and shook his coat. Hair flying everywhere. We stopped eating paid and left. The couple sort of laughed it off as though it was normal. I understand they accept dogs in there but as a no dog customer just wanting to eat I find it very unhygienic and as though the dog owners make you feel a bit uncomfortable for not liking having the dog there when you eat!! I’m sorry I just couldn’t do it. We didn’t even finish our food. As I say staff are lovely but I think it should be reviewed whether or not animals should be allowed in with such a small cafe and an open plan kitchen. Unfortunately I won’t return as it made my stomach turn with how much dog hair was floating around.
It was a small perfectly formed traditional British cafe, very clean and pleasant, Menu was clearly written out on the boards, very well priced, one got the impression that this cafe is well loved. Three of us had the Full English Breakfast, the ladies who have alot of experience of cafes in the UK and Australia were very impressed with the breakfast cooked to perfection, in particular the sausages were suprisingly meaty, as a trained chef I was impressed with the standard and presentation. The ladies and I highly recommend this cafe.
Great food, great service at a fair price. Local produce used, tucked down a side street but they have a board showing the way, full English breakfast is my favourite. If you're in Bridport, give them a visit. Recommended!
Nice big cup of Cappuccino and let us in with our two dogs. Friendly staff. Just a typical cafe. Breakfast looked okay and not small. Very open seating so you do get the kitchen smells. But we liked it and I am fussy.
Tried this place out yesterday, looked interesting from the outside. Bought a cheese 'toasty' for £3.00 and a mug of tea for £1.00. Tea was good but the toasty was horrible.
Shame because the menu looked good and the prices OK. Shame about the 'toasty'.
Excellent breakfast good menu really comfortable very friendly all you want in a good cafe will be a regular from now on
Nice independent 'Glastonbury' style cafe. Nice food bits bit mucky, especially the loo. Come on, people! This place could be brilliant!
