the salmon is not fresh, the mashed potatoes are cold, the ribeye is poor quality, and the salad on the side is not fresh. The Angus burger is ok, medium quality, but not the best.
The wine (bottle) is good ????

This is a strange place. This is the restaurant and bar of the Crowne Plaza in Kings Cross.
From the look of it, both restaurant and bar were run as separate businesses that have failed ( the restaurant is literally still branded as Belgo outside and has all the Belgo decor inside…) and been replaced by this in-house offering. Not clear if temporary until new tenants sourced or permanent - maybe waiting until the big development opposite is finished to decide?
Bar was very quiet both times I visited- only customer on one occasion.. good range of drinks and nice space but very quiet and lacking atmosphere. Pint of Madri, £7 - not bad.
Restaurant was similar, very quiet with a deserted air. No music, showing Eastenders on the tv… ????
Food was lovely though, really nice. They do a pizza and a pint offer for £18, which is good for central London. Pizza with chilli and minced meat, properly fiery. Well made and Tasty. Would eat again.
Pudding was sticky toffee pudding. Decent, but presentation very much school-dinner style.
Overall, food is nice but need to work on identity/atmosphere a bit. Space is nice. Could work well. Take down the Belgo signs though!
Had some coffee and desserts, got what expected and more. Customer service was amazing and the atmosphere were too. Met some cool guys, Melanio was working at the bar and Tzouliano if i recall correctly made everything perfect. Highly recommend visiting this place.
Here I wented to eat famous Blooms Salty Beef sandwich with mustard and a pickley sandwich. But everything it change now is more Michelin Top Quality
I wish I had read the reviews first, i would have picked a different place... the prawn masala was good but pretty small. And they served a frozen Naan which was really bad... the service is friendly.
Bad service from the start, three meals came out, another 10 minutes for the rest. Started clearing plates when three people still eating. Never asked if we needed more drinks. Kept pushing chair next to me everytime they walked past banging it into my leg, in the end I moved it which they were not happy about. Asked if we wanted desserts before everyone had finished mains, forgot one of the desserts, we chased after 10 minutes and it arrived, when we got the bill, they had for that dessert twice! Also added a service charge without asking. Think we played second fiddle to a larger group on the next table
Lacklustre food and astonishingly poor service; was communicated with primarily via grunts and made to feel a nuisance for ordering a VERY basic cocktail…which was then delivered incorrectly. Go anywhere else in the area unless you can’t muster the energy to leave the building.
Excellent bar lounge with a bar menu as well !????
