Took 1hr to get 4 small orders completed, still hot when got back home. MID
Takeaway chow mein and spare ribs. Good
Absolutely disgusted. My partner and I were looking forward to a Chinese tonight and normally when we go here they are really good. But tonight, we made our normal order which consists of; sweet and sour chicken balls, egg fried rice, chips and chow mein, paid the amount asked and waited for our food. When it was brought out the guy behind the counter said that the chef was not putting the fryer on for the chips and chicken balls for one order as they have been quiet tonight. So after waiting 20 minutes for our food to be cooked, he only came out with the chow mien and rice. I am absolutely appalled and will never be going here again!! They should cook the whole order we asked for regardless of whether they were busy or not.
Would give it zero stars if there was the option.. ordered on the phone they gave me 15 mins till collect, got there and waited a further 30 mins for it to come out.. got home tasted like s**t, sweet and sour sauce tasted like strawberry gelatine, chow main was tasteless and chicken like cardboard, salt and pepper chips were dripping in that much excess oil I think it would have fuel’d an old Diesel engine for a week, will never be returning
Bad place that I will never be going to again. By the time I got home the heat from the sauces had melted one of the tubs, meaning that one of the sauces was empty all over the rest of the food. I also asked for bbq sauce and got a second sweet and sour instead. Meaning not a happy wifey! The prawn crackers were stale, the rice was soggy and the chicken balls appeared as if they had been pre cooked and just re-dipped in the hot day to get them hot again. They were very dark in colour and overcooked. I did not complain as I do not wish to have any food from here again, even if it was going to be free.
Make sure 3 to 4 times if they took your order correctly. Before you bring it home open it and check if you got the right thing. It is very likely you got the wrong thing because the girls there hardly speak or understand English.
If you open a restaurant in England then you really should learn some English... it's not my fault if you can't understand.
The place is run down and the goldfish are ill so not that nice to have a sit down meal. The missus asked for rioja but got corked merlot ... she kicked off slightly and got it changed. Wine is important to her and makes or breaks a meal. I had coke so no problem! The reason I have given 2 stars instead of one is my sweet and sour pork was really rather nice!
It's a shame as it's the only Chinese restaurant in the town and could be outstanding but for a little effort!
The lady on the phone does NOT speak English. She did not understand my order, she would not pass me on to someone who could speak English. She then told me it was 30 minutes, I phoned after 20 minutes she did not reply when I was speaking, just told me it would be another 20 minutes then did not even know my order. Disgraceful.
