I came across Barkers after visiting countless pharmacies one evening with a 2 item prescription where no pharmacy would dispense it as they couldn't get a stock of the second item. I was in a panic as I'd run out of one of the meds. Barkers were able to dispense both items with no fuss or drama and I've been going back ever since. It is a traditional pharmacy so I don't get a text message or anything but what I do get is polite, efficient and super professional service. They don't stay open late at night 7 days a week in order to sell nail polish. They're there to make sure people can get the prescriptions they need and I appreciate that.

Very patronising condescending young locum pharmacist who was very unhelpful and unprofessional before screaming at me she was in the midst of showing another customer her unhelpful nature. Such a shame as on my first visit they went above and beyond ( was told it would have been the Owner) once I called this young lady out on her unprofessionalism and how I would be making a complaint she went ballistic and proceeded to scream her dad is the owner in an entitled manner. Ruining the reputation of her father who was genuinely a pleasure to deal with. Based on the other reviews seems I’m not the only one to encounter the wrath of this crazy woman.
The owner was warned to update the opening hours on google maps by several customers, yet they still have the wrong hours for Sunday. It opens later than 8.30 on a sunday
Poor customer service, my husband just travelled there and back for something we asked over the phone before heading out if they have as it was urgent, but on arrival it appeared they indeed didn't have it, absolutely fuming
Just cannot believe the reaction I got just cause I was on a work call for 3 minutes while my son was in the push chair. The woman at the counter aggressively came pointing the push chair asking me to leave the shop and make the call. It was only for
3 minutes. I cannot move with the push chair and a 3 year old that swiftly of course !
I was a customer of this pharmacy for a couple of years. It offers very convenient hours and it’s handy to have such place locally. Usually the service there was good though some medicine was overpriced. However my experience there today was awful. The young female pharmacist was very impatient and even with a mask on her face I could see that she was in a rush to get rid of me. You would expect the person over the counter to have some listening skills as a professional helping people but it was probably too much to ask. I doubt if I go back there again.
