Outstanding accommodation & super attentive Hosts their beautiful Bulldog and slippers the cat are an added bonus .|Gordon is very friendly and chatty nothing is to much trouble I’d 100% recommend you stay nowhere else in Montrose. ||I’ve stayed here multiple times and it never disappoints.
My mum and I stayed here for two nights in mid July - it was absolutely lovely. Our room was great, it was clean with great facilities (amazing shower, well equipped tea tray and very generous hamper of local drinks and snacks). The breakfast was amazing, the best we have had on our 8 day trip by far - simple but high quality and very thoughtfully done. We also loved the resident pets who were no trouble whatsoever and extremely cute! We are SO glad we stayed here rather than a hotel nearby, it was better value and much more comfortable too. 100% recommend. Thanks to the hosts for a lovely stay! ||
I stayed here 1 night by myself for a recent work trip, Gordon was so welcoming from the start (and so was slippers the cutest cat). I was shown to my room which was lovely with some treats left complimentary also. Everything was immaculate, cosy and homely. The room was great with a really good size en suite and shampoo etc provided. The breakfast in the morning was cooked fresh and delicious, everything has been thought of. Would really recommend this place for anyone stopping in Montrose. Thank you for a great stay. Thanks, Jen.
One of the best B&Bs I have stayed in so far. They are very thoughtful about their guests. They provided gluten and dairy free options for my poor digestive system, they even thought of leaving small oat milk sachets in my room! They use local products and even offer a small complementary basket of biscuits and sodas, never seen such generous owners before. My room was super clean and had more than what I needed. No noise, it was a very peaceful stay. Will definitely come back with friends and family! Thanks for hosting me Gordon!
Had a great stay at Bamse b&b, my room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated, the bed was so comfortable I had the best sleep in ages. Again bathroom couldn’t have been any cleaner and shower had great water pressure, overall couldn’t fault anything.
Also appreciate little finishing touches like nice local lemonades and biscuits in the room as well as the option of having oat milk with your coffee/tea.

Lovely dog, cute cat, great welcome basket. Lovely selection of top notch teas and coffees. Breakfast was absolutely the best I’ve ever had, all locally sourced and something to suit everyone. Can’t believe the service from this little B&B.
Stayed in the Bamse for almost 4 weeks and cannot speak highly enough of the place. Extremely clean rooms w/ great facilities and kind extras (coffee station w/ locally sourced bakery goods on arrival). Also the friendliest hosts you'll meet. Nothing was too much to ask for Gordon and Euan. Very kind blokes who cooked beautiful meals for all dietary requirements. Would recommend to anyone who is visiting Montrose for any reason.
Room was small but everything you needed. Bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was amazing all cooked fresh for you. The owner was very helpful and every area was spotless. Great place to stay if visiting Montrose. would highly recommend
