Popped in for a beer and a meal after a full day fishing the Wye. Great to see a log fire in the bar. Beer excellent and food wonderful. Great service and atmosphere
Absolutely lovely, I had a lovely thick steak that was perfectly cooked, no gristle either! The chips were also just right and I did get tempted by I think it was a fudge cake oh that went down very well! Lovely atmosphere and will no doubt be back!
Very attentive waitress. My 1st visit as down for a function and friend recommended this restaurant. Food was delicious and good portion size.
Only popped in for lunch. Staff so friendly and helpful. We just had baguettes but they were very tasty and very good value. The Ledbury Bitter was an excellent pint.
Worth a visit if you're passing
Had lovely tea tonight, this came with big salad too. Am on slimming world so did not want chips, onion, rings, etc. Asked if chef could flavour my steak with garlic and he served some roasted garlic on side. Was all spot on, many thanks ????
Lovely friendly staff, good Covid measures in place. Has a specials board as well as the Menu. Which on this occasion had Beef rib lollipop with cheesy mash and onion rings which was absolutely huge !!! So plenty of beef left for a doggy bag, which they are happy to do and wrap up for your furry friend ???? .
We called in to the Axe and Cleaver for lunch on our way home from North Wales to Berkshire. Although it was nearly 2pm they were happy to cook for us. The food was lovely, my husband said it was the best fish and chips he had had for a long time. We would definitely go there again.
Great traditional pub family run very friendly & polite staff food was great defo recomend the steak and ale pie & the banana boat desert will visit again soon
