Having tried many Chinese carry outs over the years we thought we would try this one close to home. Ordering and delivery was courteous and efficient. The food was just excellent. Prawns with ginger and spring onions the best we have ever had - beating the best restaurants it the area by a long way!

Terrible soup (tasteless with little ingredients/like water) The main course which i paid £7.30 for a house special had so many carrots, onions and peppers in it to bulk out the container and also was very bland, i took a photo for proof. Not recommended and a complete waste of £11.00 unfortunately.
This was supposed to be special chow mein the noodles were very dry and thin meat was thick and very dry would not recommend a big disappointment as heard was nice takeaway
Ordered for collection. Tasty, hot, reasonable prices.
Highlights: Sweet & sour sauce actually had a flavour rather than being the red goo you often get at these places.
Lowlight: Hot & Sour soup wasn't particularly hot or sour.
Overall however a very nice meal, good portions.
Recommended.

Awful , stale chips , fried rice not fried just boiled rice with a bit of added colour , chow mein dry as sticks , it all tasted like yesterdays food .
Gosforth's well kept secret! Lovely food with fast delivery. I would recommend the deep fried chips is spicy salt and chilli pepper, so so good!
