Best KPortal Reviews

Have yet to be disappointed by the place! They have been extremely consistent with both the food and service! My girlfriend and I usually order carne asada fries and although it’s a tiny bit more in comparison to other spots… it is absolutely worth it. They have the regular size and the XL fries. When we’re starving we get the XL and it is plenty for 2 people! We always order take out through the phone and they’ve been spot on with the wait time more often than not! We will of course keep coming back here!
Great place to eat before a Pantera or Bad Religion or Social Distortion concert. Food and people cool. Every time me and my friends go to a concert THIS is where we stop. Best Mexican food in San Diego Country…
MACHACA BURRITO is one of the Best in San Diego!!!
It's the Only thing I get here but the Flavor and Quantity is on point.
Seriously, you need to try it, I grew up on burritos so I know my stuff.
The Negative is they do not remove the Bay Leaves. Seems lazy but it's not that big of a deal to me.
BRING CASH!!!
This place was supreme years ago, been going here since the early 90s. Now, it’s too overpriced for what you get. The portion sizes are generous (enough to split into two meals for some), but for $12.99 you should get more carne asada in your torta than lettuce! Also, since when has it been standard to put chipotle on tortas? I’m glad I was told what was on them before I ordered so I could omit it. Total for 3 carne asada tortas, an adobada torta, a plain quesadilla, two 4 oz sides of rice and beans and a horchata was $68.97! At least they gave us a bag full of salsas, the green of which is the better choice. It’s getting more expensive to feed a crowd nowadays so I can’t recommend coming here anymore over the other excellent and cheaper Mexican spots in town.
We really like the cabeza burrito, rolled tacos, they have chicken, beef and potato, and I ask for Pico, and the Chile Rellenos. My kids like the cali burrito and quesadilla. The drive thru can be fast, but it's also taken a while esp around dinner time. When we order 3-4 items it's usually $20-35. And they only take cash, but have an ATM machine in the drive thru. Their salsas are good too, all of them.
Been coming here for almost 2 years since I moved down the street . I normally come here after hours due to my work schedule and also one of the few taco shops open 24 hours in the area . This most recent time I went , there was a van blocking the drive through, but the open signs were still on and lights were still on around the restaurant . I go to the window just to ask if they were still open and this young dike with glasses at the register just came to the window with the most hostility ever just because I was there . I’ve never seen this worker there , usually the staff is nice and friendly but this girl just seemed to jump the gun and felt the need to be hostile just because I came to ask if they were open . I come here once or twice a week . The workers usually recognize me because I order the same thing every time . Not once have they ever been closed . There was no indication they were closed besides the van blocking the drive through . After this visit , I will no longer be giving this restaurant my business due to the wanna be man that doesn’t know how to talk to customers . I advise Asada’s management to maybe put her or him or whatever she identifies as on janitor duty because customer service is not a strong suit of hers .
I would have given them five stars. Unfortunately basedon the waitresses service and attitude I can only give this restaurant four stars. We came as a group of four sat down in their dining area and they brought out our meals individually so what happened is half of us eight while the other two were waiting for their food.. we suggested that they bring the food out together and the waitress told us to give food back that was already served and they will bring it out when the other is ready. hahaha! Food was good. I will return but next time I will use the drive-thru to avoid the service.
Food was good. I got the Carne Asada fries with Al Pastor and the wife got roll tacos with potatoes. Both were good. Guac, however, had ZERO flavor. Sodas were $5 (a bit expensive, if you ask me). The portions sizes were very good. I would definitely go back!
