We enjoyed our visit, there was no wait when we arrived at 11am on a Sunday. However by the time we got our food, there was a line out the door. The food wasn't exceptional, but was good. The garlic rolls wete ok, and were served with warm Ragu sauce from a jar. I got the Italian Combo which was a little smaller than expected, but the manicotti and canelloni was the best. He went with the Stromboli which was good, but I wasn't expecting it to be cold on the inside. Our server was incredible and the restaurant was super clean for that I give the 5 stars.
For a place smack in the middle of nowhere (let's be honest, Glenwood doesn't have much to offer other than being a crossroads) it had a decent sized menu, lots of different options, and far more than the pizza and fettuccine/spaghetti that was expected. Staff was friendly, food was delicious and even the lunch portions were more than enough. The only way this place could have been truly better was a bit more atmosphere. Pretty generic and minimal wall art and some music that was played at a decibel that dogs would have strained to hear. But the food? The food was top notch!
The Italian food was delicious. The service was excellent. I loved their chicken dish with noodles and sauce. Fettucini With the bread and the main dish, I got full. My husband wanted me to let him have my dish. It was that tasty and filling.
The pizza is amazing! I had a classic peperoni. The marinara sauce is like nothing I've ever had before. Perfectly balanced and not sweet. I even ordered some to go. I'm excited to try other dishes. The service was good, very attentive and helpful woman with lovely red hair. I believe her name was Cheyenne, sorry if that's not correct.
My only criticism is the atmosphere. Super bright overhead lights. Dinging bell for door and the activity that happens right at the entrance. The to go pickup, paying your bill is at the desk right by the door it gets congested and a little loud. With all that being said I will definitely comeback to enjoy the food & service. Thank you.
Excellent Chicken Parmigiana and Veal Parma Cremo! Rolls were served freshly baked with melted garlic butter on top along a side of warm marinara sauce. Excellent food with excellent service and friendly staff. I highly recommend this place if you are driving through the area!
My family loves this place, but I have never cared for it. I thought I would give it another chance today and order something that wasn’t Italian. I ordered a ribeye. It was $27.95 and included a ribeye (I would guess about 6-7 Oz), salad, and grilled veges. I ordered Caesar dressing in the side and I’m glad I got it in the side. It was too sweet for Caesar dressing and not good at all. I then asked for ranch which was good. When my steak came, it was obviously not a ribeye. It was more like a cheaper cut like a strip or sirloin. I cut it in small pieces and I had to spit out every single bite because it had grizzle, was tough, or had a bone chip. I asked for it medium well and it was very well done. I only ate half my steak and gave the other half to my husband. The pic is how much I had to spit out that was too touch or grizzly to chew, and that was just for half the steak This is not what I expected for this type of restaurant.
The red pasta sauce is not impressive. It just taste like Ragu or Great Value spaghetti sauce.
It may not matter to some people, but the plates looked really cheap…..and familiar. I looked at the bottom and they were from the Dollar Tree.
The tables are very crowded and the waitresses had to squeeze by. You felt like you were going to knock food off someone’s table when you walked by. It was very loud in there. You had to talk very loud to hear each other speak. The ambiance was not typical for a high end Italian restaurant.
On our last visit, we sat by the bathroom and all you could smell was a poop smell coming from the restroom. It made me gag and ruined my meal.
If you have never been to Ari’s Little Italy Italian restaurant, then you’re missing out!! Located in Glenwood, Arkansas, this is my absolute favorite Italian restaurant and it’s actual authentic Italian food.
The pizza is absolutely delicious and so is the spaghetti and meatballs, the lasagna, and even the complementary bread and sauce I’ve had when I’ve eaten inside the restaurant. My favorite pizza is the Canadian bacon.
Be sure to check them out when you are craving Italian food. In my personal opinion, ari’s Little Italy, is better than all other Italian restaurants that I have tried so far. So check them out some time and see for yourself.
Absolutely Delicious homemade flavorful food. The staff is all very kind, patient and accommodating. They do not take reservations, but we were seated immediately on a Friday night. Service is quick and efficient. Food is fresh and tastes amazing. Hands down, best Italian food we've had at any restaurant. Lauren, our waitress, did a fantastic job! Considering it was Valentine's day and they were quite busy, we were impressed with the service and quality of food. The caesar dressing and ranch are both tasty, the rolls with marinara are an excellent appetizer, and the entrees were Perfect. The chocolate cake was less than stunning and would actually be better without the bottled syrup on top, but still was a tasty treat to end a perfect meal. We will Definitely be coming back on all future trips to AR.
