Staff was very nice. From what I saw each person only had one table occupied in each section yet took very long time to be seated. After waiting a long time for anyone a waitress from another section came over and helped us. Said they couldn't find our waiter. Went to the restroom and he was standing there on his phone. The all you can eat was a joke. Ordered shrimp and got the equivalent of a kids meal. Ordered wings when they brought the shrimp. Was almost 30 mins before they came and it was what looked like 5 pieces from the bottom of the bag. Mainly just breading chunks. It was very dark. Like they changed all of the table bulbs to a low watt bulb. The staff that helped us was very nice and left a nice tip for her. Never did get helped from our actual waiter. It was 730 on a Monday. 4 tables booked and one guy at the bar. I counted at least 5 staff. Yet no one was doing anything. Drink from the bar came well after our food arrived. Just 2 hours of not a pleasant dining experience.
I come to Grand Island to work. I remembered why I was never going to eat at this place again. This evening was worse then the last time I was in there. I waited over 30 minutes for my meal. There was a customer that ordered after me and they were done eating before I ever got my food. Then there was a table that got there 5 or 10 minutes after my order was in and they got their's at the same time I got mine. The waitress took my order then never checked if I needed anything until she brought my food. Also the staff table in the dining room is a big no. The manager spent most the time I was there staring at her phone. Not to mention the other employees coming to hang out. Seems to me that more focus needs to be on the customer's. I own a business and if employees had their own table in my dining room they would be gone. Anyway I left a good tip nonetheless. Never going back.
Wait staff were very nice and professional, quick seating. However it took a long time for drinks to get to us. After we ordered our food it took a long time to even get our appetizers. When we did get our appetizers they were cold. Our entrees were cold as well after a long while waiting for them. During all this there where 9 customers total in the restaurant.
This is the worst applebees I’ve ever been to. I was one of 2 people seated at the bar last night. It took 25 minutes to receive a glass of water and over an hour to receive my food. The bartender had zero idea what they were doing. They had to repeatedly ask the manager what they were supposed to be doing. I received the wrong order when my food came. I finally gave up and paid my tab and left. Don’t make the mistake of going here!!!
The place was very cold. It felt like the air was on instead of heat. It took a long time to take our order and longer to get our food. One person at our table got their food a long time before the rest of us got ours, which made it uncomfortable for her to eat before us. BUT... the food was very good and I was surprised. Our tickets were all messed up as well. I say if you do not have enough staff then close off one area and let customers know that the wait might be awhile. Be honest up front.
So we went in with a bigger group after a dance competition. We were seated and our drink orders were taken. It took over thirty minutes before everyone’s drinks came out. Also took over an hour and a half to bring out food and things were missing and wrong. I ordered a well done bourbon street steak. When I got it I cut it open just to see that it was bloody, pink, and burnt on the top. I was not going to return it because it had already taken so long. I also ordered bone in chicken wings and they never came, I also really didn’t want to have to wait another 20 minutes for wings. Many things came that were not even warm. I would not recommend this Applebee's for lager groups over 15 people. They are understaffed, we also called ahead to make sure that there was room for us. Very unsatisfied with everything here.
Waited 15 minutes and didn’t get a drink. 5 waitresses were at the computer screen just hanging out. The couple that came after me got served right away. I don’t think I have ever seen service this bad ever. The only person to acknowledge me was the woman who was cleaning the tables and learning. I hope they don’t teach her any bad habits
The food was fine. They overcharged us on 2 menu items. When I pointed it out, the manager did eventually correct the invoice, however she seemed quite annoyed.
