Best KPortal Reviews
If your in Gainesville you gotta stop here. Good food, friendly service, and cold beer. Patio seating is a great choice. We had the pepperoni pizza ???? and it was very tasty.
For what it’s worth it was good food and I’ll definitely be back here again new, owners or not. Second time coming here when I’m in town. I’m from Chicago and my mother lives down in Tecumseh so it’s a great little drive and not to far away especially after filling up on a heavy meal. This time we got a chicken Alfredo pizza. Something on it tasted salty but not overpowering just a little off and the sauce wasn’t very thick but it was still delicious enough for us to eat half the pizza. Service was pretty good because the restaurant wasn’t very full but I’m expecting it to be busy since it’s a Saturday night and it’s prime rib night. All in all I had a pretty decent time here and will definitely be coming back next time I am in town. Definitely will not be enjoying frozen corn dogs down at the gas station like another review suggests. :)
We stopped by after dropping a horse off at a vet across the street. There was ample parking for our truck and trailer. This is a very good local restaurant with great sandwiches. Worth going back when in the area.
I went to Antler package and Pizza on my way to watch the eclipse. We were told that Pizza would take at least 45 minutes. This was 30 minutes before the eclipse event started. So, we ordered burgers. An hour later I stopped our server to ask about our burgers. He went back and picked them up at the to go counter, where they had been sitting for over 30 minutes. They were cold. They had fancy names but there was nothing on them that was different from any standard hamburger. He said "sorry, the kitchen put them in the wrong place."
If I am ever in Gainesville again, I will certainly avoid this place.
My wife and I have been to Antlers 6-7 times in the past 4 months. Each time we have gone, we order the catfish platter, 7 pc order of wings and unsweetened iced tea. We thought that we had found a new "go to place" as the food and service had been excellent. I even complimented them, a couple of months ago, about how the had really stepped up food quality/ service after the recent change in ownership. Kudos too soon. Today, at 2:15 pm, the food was atrocious!! The platters today had 2 mediocre sized fillets each instead of the usual 4 nice sized ones, a small cup of Cole slaw, 3 small hushpuppies and a smaller, than usual, order of fries. The fish was edible but overcooked. The wings had been made earlier in the day and had been heated up for our lunch. Well, almost heated up as the wings were overcooked, tough and cool to the touch near the bone. Terrible!! For $46.00 we expected FRESHLY made food, decent quantities ( as we had in previous visits) and higher quality food. VERY DISAPPOINTING!! Unfortunately, I don't envision us having any return visit!!!!!!
The new menu sucks. They used to have good food, no longer. It's just a bar with some food.
Ordered a steak salad ( I'm diabetic and need to limit carbs, this was all they had). It was pot roast salad, salty pot roast, so salty that it was inedible.
Real let down, it used to be quite good.
Waited 2hrs for food that was disgusting, the tea was horrible tasted like fish water. The dough of the pizza was old and had no sauce on it, paper was thicker than the pizza. Supposedly the calzones don’t have sauce on them. Waitresses giving wrong receipts and mixing orders up. Oh let’s not forget the ranch that tasted sour. Last time ordered Antlers nachos one without meat and it was just cheese nothing else. Cheese was so hard you barely broke the chips with a fork than asked for the rest of the toppings and they all smelled like beer. This place has gone down hill wouldn’t recommend eating here.
Fantastic little establishment! Food has been excellent every single time we’ve come here during our business trip and everyone is very friendly and welcoming. 10/10 just amazing!
