***BELIEVE THE REVIEWS THAT SAY IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE WHAT THEY ASKED FOR I DIDN'T AND REGRET IT*** I was apprehensive and I should have trusted my gut. This was my 1st time coming here and I asked for Faux Locs. I was apprehensive because I didn't see any pictures of the style in their gallery so I asked them to send me some, they sent 2 pictures (posted) front and back of 2 different people which I thought was strange which after being in their shop was able to confirm from the different wall paint, colors, items in shop and completely different floors that they sent me pictures of someone else's work. In the pictures they sent look full and pretty so I scheduled the appointment. I got 20 something or less locs in my hair. It is not full no where near like in the pictures sent to me and not worth $180. I saw in the beginning when she platted my hair how big spaced and boxed she did the parts it didn't look right but it was my 1st time getting them so I was like I'll just wait it out as I'm no stylist and unfortunately my intuition was right. That is false advertising, you cannot send pictures of how it'll "look" then do something almost completely different. I didn't get what I asked for and this is the 1st time I've ever been dissatisfied at a African shop and unfortunately won't be back. I was wandering why she finished in 4 hours very disappointed. Don't play in someone's hair claiming you can do a style if you CAN'T! I also reached out to them before leaving a review to see if I could get it taken down and get a refund which they did only refund $90 after I took it all out. As a previous person stated it's a what I asked for vs what I got situation. Please PLEASE be careful or go elsewhere these people seem to be inexperienced. I'm honestly really sad because I'm moving next week and I have to pay double rent for new place and my old place and I really can't afford to throw $90 away but ended up doing so. Worst hair experience I ever had in my entire life never ever had to get a hairstyle taken down. Look at the 2 pictures they sent me vs what I actually got smh you've been warned. To the shop owners, please do not lie and steal other stylist photos and say you can do a style that you cannot do in attempt to bring customers in under false pretenses. That is scamming and false advertising I should have known better when the pictures said Forwarded in the text messages smh. I wasn't gonna leave a review as you guys were prompt and nice about refunding however due to half my Saturday and $90 of my hard earned money being wasted I decided to.
Response: Could be renovated in the other pictures because there is a brick wall in your studio as in the photos but if that's the case that makes matters worse and is even more upsetting because that mean your stylist COULD have done a better job but chose not too and rushed it and half did it so that doesn't help your case. I still didn't get what I asked for. I did not decline to have her re do it you said to have her fix it there was no fixing that should have been done right the 1st time it looked terrible compared to the photos sent to me I asked for Faux Locs not Medusa or whatever you want to call that. Yes I did decline to come at 630 and just take it down myself because y'all already wasted half my day. And yes I mentioned box braids and Sengalese twist because it's simple and can't be hard to mess up but honestly I wouldn't want to take that chance I prefer get it right the 1st time service. At the end of the day I'm out of $90 for no reason it is what it is just going forward make sure y'all give people the service they ask for. Be blessed and have a great day.
I love Ann and her sister have been coming here since my husband and I relocated from NC. I hate that they have to deal with people that do not appreciate what they do. My daughter is getting her hair done this morning and this guy came in requesting a service that they do not offer and they politely told him so. Why write a negative untrue statement. I would like to thank you ladies for always doing an amazing job with my daughters and I.
They do a real good job on making sure your hair is the way you want it and very neat. They're friendly and get the job done

Have used them before to braid my daughters hair and did a great job. Stop by this morning to see about getting my beard braided at my daughters request. They said they will not do it because they only braid hair! I’m not exactly sure what is growing on my face if it isn’t hair! I’ll take my business elsewhere. I would have never thought a business would turn down a customer especially when the salon is empty and workers are just sitting around. Never once mentioned anything about color. You will have to find a different excuse for your poor business practices. I apologize if you feel that leaving a negative review is abusing the review process.
These women are the best. They did our granddaughters hair. They got so many compliments when they returned to Florida. I will always take my granddaughters there. They love children and make you feel comfortable.
I love getting my micro braids here . Anne, the owner has a great personality. She communicates well and has a great sense of humor. I especially like her business ethics and the way she operates her salon. She treats her customers like she wants to be treated.
