Insanely good soul food. Probably the best friend chicken and collard greens I’ve ever had. The service was very friendly and helpful, and for 16.99, I got so much food I couldn’t even get close to finish it in one sitting. We sat outside on their porch, and it had a really nice slowed-down relaxing feel, like we were hanging out on grandmas porch. There was also a very cute kitty that gobbled up the chicken we fed her. If you’re in the area, this should definitely be your #1 for dinner.
Some of the best fried chicken I have ever had. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. They can get crowded, especially on Sundays so if you go on Sunday, get there before or after the church crowd. Service is pretty quick except for when people can’t decide what they want despite seeing the food before their eyes. I drive here from St Pete to eat and it’s worthy every miserable mile on I-4.
We visited recently for the first time. Best collard greens I've ever had. Everything was delicious and the man who helped us order was super kind. The atmosphere is super chill and laid back. Kinda cafeteria style dining.
Found Angel's Soul Food & BBQ by chance, as I was on my way to Meriwether Farms to pick up some fresh oranges. I caught a glimpse of the sogn while passing and stopped in to check it out. Boy, am I glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed one of the best soul food meals I've had. I ordered the Ox tails, mac and cheese, collard greens, fried okra and cornbread. I opted for the Kool-aid for my drink. Everything was so delicious, fresh and homemade but the fried okra and collard greens really stood out to me. I've never had no collard greens like that before. I think they've ruined all other collard greens for me, for life! Haha Combine that with the good ol southern hospitality and you'll stay sad that you can't visit this spot on a regular basis. I enjoyed being treated like family and hope to visit again someday. I especially liked talking about football with the woman there who was peeling potatoes in the dining room. She was a broncos fan too and told me about when she used to work in Denver, right by Mile High Stadium! Oh, and they have free dessert on Sunday's, I believe!
If I lived close to Angel's, I would be here multiple times a week! It was so good though, I'll be back multiple times before I leave!!!! Exceptional
I'm a sucker for good BBQ pork sandwich! Everything was great that I had pulled pork sandwich ???? collards, Mac and cheese and also lima beans!! I'll definitely be back!! Very personable employees! He came and checked on me several times! You can tell the food is made with love ❤️ see yall soon
Went in there for lunch today and the wings are banging. I got a 8 piece party wings with crinkle cut fries. The was amazing and the price is even better. This place gets a 10 out of 10. If you have not tried it yet you need to.
We had 5 different meats between us and every single one was absolutely delicious. In town to visit friends and we’re bummed we won’t be able to come again before we leave! Incredibly tasty, incredibly friendly, and incredibly good everything.
