A proper gem of a Tea Room. Just as you might imagine. If I was to try and describe tea rooms to an American friend this would be it. A Friendly welcome greeted us, even though it was raining and we had two dogs. ( All the more surprising as this is a carpeted establishment)
Considering that it closes at 4 pm I was delighted to discover that they still had a selection of fresh cakes available at 3:30. Or as the proprietor said "we always have fresh scones".
We have just had our Mum's 80th Birthday at this amazing Tea Room. Catered a high tea for a very surprised Mum and all the family. Delicious food especially the home made cakes. Thank you Paul and Marilyn for all your hard work for our Mum's special day x
Very nice, small and cozy cafe. We had a stopover on our way to Cornwall. We had Scramble eggs, tuna sandwich and scones with coffee and tea, everything was fresh and tasty. Had a nice chat with the owner and elderly ladies.
We were checking out Mere as a potential place to move to and came across Angel Corner. We ordered the cream tea for two and loved it. The High Tea was tempting so will have to try that out some time. Really friendly service and tasty food, a great find for us.
We stopped by for lunch. I had a ham ploughman’s, the ham was very good. I would have preferred that they didn’t chop the baguette up into small pieces. Would have been fine if it was with soup but it was hard to reconstruct to make into a ham baguette. Other than that small thing everything good. We had a dairy ice cream in a tub for afters.
A really cute little coffee shop or should i say teapot shop!! Lovely food and amazing service!
We called up to check there was enough room for the 2 of us and little baby, and when we arrived they had reserved us a table. The highchair was a normal comfy highchair you would have at home, not the wooden ones you get normally, which was brilliant for our little fidget.
Thank you to the Lady who served us, lovely service (sorry we forgot her name!! she was wearing a pac-man top when we came to visit)
Great brunch-time visit. The lovely owner made adaptations to create a gluten free meal for me. Much appreciated.
It’s a cute, cozy and home-like spot for snacks, cake a tea. They are short on staff due to social distancing so service is very slow. The owner is a lovely guy!
