Booking a Flixbus is not for the faint of heart. Their app is frustrating and not user friendly. I happened to find out about them when researching new routes to UCLA from Anaheim. There are a few that go direct but only in the morning hours. The app indicated that my bus would stop at UCLA on its way to Oakland, but it didn’t. I got off outside of LA Union Station in a parking lot that was a disorganized mess. The bus was over an hour late arriving to Anaheim so I can understand the frustration of the people waiting to board in LA. The seats were not plush. They are inferior to a OCTA express bus. The cost of this late bus was $7.99 at the time I took it,but appeared to cost $4.99 at other times of day. If one is so inclined to reserve a seat in the first 5 rows, it will cost an extra $4.99.
I won’t ever take a Flixbus again. Amtrak is faster and more relaxing, plus it has WiFi. Even Metrolink trains are preferable to FlixBus. Even the very uncomfortable Metro 460 bus is on time.
On the plus side, and the only nice thing I can say about FlixBus, is the busses are an eye-catching shade of green.

1 star is totally overrated. 09/07 I should have taking 11:55 pm bus from San Francisco to LA downtown. I waited like an hour. Suddenly, heard from the other passenger. She was yelling “no bus no bus. “ she called customer services. Bus is cancelled without any reason and no notify. It’s middle of night. Street is freezing. Even worse services said I can book another bus it is 6 am. Hello? Excuse me! It’s around 1 am. I got no place to go. I gonna spend my night on the side of road? Flix bus wouldn’t care. Service also said u can find a hotel to stay. It’s middle of night. It’s miss the time of check in. I have to figure it out by myself. Therefore, I took taxi to airport. I made a phone call. Service said sorry it’s our policy we can’t pay ur for plane ticket! So ur policy also have a rule we totally can leave customer behind. Don’t care about them!

Cheap price and a friendly driver. If all passengers check in, the bus will leave a few minutes earlier than the scheduled time.
You need to across the street toward the South. But there is few traffics on the street. The bus stop is on the opposite side of ART’s main entrance.
I took the Flixbus for the first time today from Anaheim to San Diego and it went really well. Maybe because it is brand new in California and it was a short trip, but it went really smoothly with only 10 of us or so in the 9:10am bus on a Friday. The seats were comfortable and the bus looked new! The driver called me in by name (instead of a ridiculously long reservation number other buses have you call out). It was a really great first experience well worth the $4.99.
Had to ask where pick up was at Anaheim ARTIC but it wasnt hard to find once I got directions. Will def ride them again.
Super friendly driver, helpful front desk, and smooth trip all the way. Also good leg space for 'big' people.
FlixBus is pretty great. Used to be 5 stars, now 4 because their prices keep going up.
