Best KPortal Reviews

We ordered a few pineapple bun chicken steak sandwiches to share for breakfast along with hot and iced HK milk teas, plain hot tea and a cappuccino.
The sandwiches were delicious, though wish there was less fat and skin on it, but still yummy regardless.
The atmosphere is super cute and enjoyable. I dig the retro vibes. I would come back again.
Alice’s Kitchen stands out as one of the best HK café cuisine restaurants in the area. I've always been a fan of their first location in Monterey Park, and now this new location has become my favorite. They've clearly invested a lot in the decor, recreating the vibrant streets of Hong Kong. Even the chairs, tables, and dishware exude a Hong Kong street vibe, making it perfect for capturing IG/FB-worthy photos at every turn. The ambiance is truly top-notch.
The food is incredibly authentic, reminiscent of dining in Hong Kong itself. The service is lightning-fast, and the staff are exceptionally friendly.
Quick tips: This place is a must-try for any fan of HK-style cuisine and those craving comforting Cantonese dishes. Parking is conveniently located right behind the restaurant, sharing a lot with other shops in the plaza. Be prepared for a potential long line during lunch hours over the weekend.
Great authentic tasting Cantonese food!
Good price, good service.
Parking in back seems good enough.
Even though it's large, there is usually a short wait at most times.
Heard this place was newly opened and popular so stopped by to give it a try. The tables were almost all full when we arrived, even though it was already late in the afternoon. We had to sign up for the waitlist and sit for a while. Luckily, we didn't have to wait for more than 5 minutes before we got a table. The interior is very unique, designed to look like the street stalls in Hong Kong. Even the tables and utensils go with the theme. The ambiance was very chill and brings you back in time. I really liked their efforts to do this. You might actually think you went back if you only look at the photos.
They have a lot of options on their menu, all were pretty cheap. It was a mix of a lot of different Hong Kong food. We ordered the Baked Pork Chop in Tomato Sauce (15.90), Curry w/ Fried Fish Ball & Pork Skin (9.25), Hong Kong Style Pineapple Bun w/ Butter (4.99), Stir Fried String Beans (14.50), Seafood & Tofu Pot (15.25), Beef Stew & Radish (18.75), and Corned Beef Sandwich (8.25). They also have a lunch special where you get a free drink if you order one of the dishes on there. So I got tea with that, and it is refillable once. We also got the Red Bean Ice (2.99).
The employee who took our order didn't input some dishes correctly because the tablet system was too new so she wasn't used to it yet. It was understandable so I didn't mind. The dishes came out pretty fast, in less than 10 minutes.
All of the dishes were pretty good, not too salty or oily. Nice portions worth for the price. We ordered so many dishes but it was all under $100 which is hard to see these days. I especially enjoyed the Baked Pork Chop dish- the pork was grilled nicely and topped with the perfect amount of cheese and tomato sauce. The vegetables and meat dishes were also seasoned very nicely. Delicious! The red bean ice is also worth it! Though it did have a bit too much ice.. It was a big cup and only for 2.99. The pineapple bun was not bad too, but it is just one big bun instead of 2.
Definitely will be coming back again to try other items on their menu! The only minor compliant is that it is a bit hectic inside, hard to get the server's attention. Recommend this place if you enjoy comfort Hong Kong food and want to have a old style Hong Kong street food experience.
I enjoy how it's homey. It gives you the Cantonese night store food vibe. I always order the wonton noodle soup :)
The HK style milk tea is good ????
Nice Hong Kong style cafe that had one of the best Portuguese Baked Chicken rice plates I've ever had. The sauce was creamy with a nice hint of coconut. The pork soup was just okay.
Service was so-so, but that is expected when coming to these types of places.
This location has the neon signs and decor to give it more of the HK daipaidong ambiance.
You put down your name The ipad to join the waiting list. On a Sunday late morning for 4, we waited about 20+mins. The jumbo pineapple buns are great but be mentally prepared as they are not the classic style bc it's quite huge (incl mayo, tomatoes, fried egg). I like their chicken steak the most. The curry fish and cuttle fish balls were decent, and just that the curry itself is more on the sweeter side than street style spice level. Hot and iced drinks are the same cost bc it's nonsense otherwise. Free drink refills. I enjoy the yinyang drink more so than the sweet HK milk tea. Our friends really like their lemon iced tea.
Our service that day was better than expected so maybe we caught them on a good day; they only breathed out loud "aiyah" to us once ????????.
Love the space and decorations, it truly makes it feel authentic. Their HK milk tea is made in the traditional way, it was delicious. The pork chop in the rice with tomato sauce was a bit different than I’ve tried at other places, it was grilled instead of battered and fried which I find that I like it more like this. The preserved egg and pork congee was not bad either. Kind of sad that their menu says you get 2 pieces of pineapple bun w/ butter but they just give you 1 medium/large piece and cut it in half. Would love to come back and try other dishes. No complaints.
