I’m new to Chicago and have recently visited Ali’s Nihari for an iftar dinner. The food, service and staff were all 5-star. A must-go place if you love ????Nihari and ???? chops
The nihari was amazing!! I have been craving a good nihari and went to multiple place in chicago land area and it hasn’t hit the spot, but this one was so good. I ordered the nalli nihari and the kunna paye.
The quantity was more than most places and the quality was delicious! The service was not that good bc the waiters didn’t come check on us and we wanted to order more, but they took so long to come to our table-so we ended up leaving. They had like 4waiters and not that many people inside for it to be hectic, but I had to stand up and find someone to get the check from. But food was great!
Ali Nihari is, without a doubt, a culinary gem! I recently indulged in a feast that included Nihari, Butter Naan, Fried Fish, and Beef Chapli Kabab, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular.
Let's dive into the Fried Fish—it was an absolute delight! The perfect combination of crispy on the outside and tender on the inside , adding a layer of satisfaction that elevated the entire dining experience.
The food quality at Ali Nihari is outstanding, dining experience is enhanced by a good ambiance and excellent service.
I recently discovered this place and what sets it above and beyond the usual expectation like good food is quality service. I had the pleasure of speaking with ZEE And his professionalism and overall demeanor is very positive influence for the restaurant and he deserves a raise.

I believe one of the best Nihari ever produced in Chicago. We are originally from Delhi and it’s not easy to crack the original recipe of Nihari better than us. This restaurant has produced a Nihari which is very close to us and has all the balance spices, taste and texture, what an amazing experience indeed.
The staff was superb, and asking how is the food, this shows how concern they are about the food and taste.
I ordered regular Nihari, without Nalli or brain which I believe has checked all the points in presentation, taste and texture. Beef bihari was another trade mark of this restaurant, paratha was excellent too, not oily like others do.
I didn’t get a chance to meet the owner but looks like how serious he is and he knows how to run the food business.
Restaurant was exceptionally clean, crockery was good and toilets were very clean.
The restaurant has crossed the par levels and I wish them all the success in future.

Most dishes are tasty (though not all are healthy).
The service is responsive, not super attentive, and it is quite a noisy spot.
Still, I'd totally recommend the place and suggest to try Karahi Chicken! ????️????
Nihari was excellent. Kabab was a bit dry. Overall a good experience.
Amazing quality of service. Nehari was amazing. Good quantity of food. We ordered nalli nehari, behari, tikka, chicken beryani. Overall rest food was good but nehari and nasn super duper.
Update:
After having an amazing experience we thought to take out from Alis Nehari. After coming back to Michigan we found out in the take out box it was a HUGE piece of bug chunk of meat and almost none to zero gravy.
A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!
In Nalli nehari box same almost no gravy.
Not moving the star ratings today but for sure not recommending anyone for take out. If taking out make sure to chekc it. Before they fake it!!
