Back in Mesa to visit my cool ???? kid brother. Off the plane, out of the airport, I gotta eat! Ok! Where, close to my brother’s home? Ha! “Alfonso’s Mexican Food” — #MagnificoAutentico ????
Lovely latina behind the counter; smiling behind the Covid-mask. Menu flashing too fast for my old eyes, she gracefully hands me a paper menu. Ah! Choices galore!
To-go, I ordered a veggie burrito. H-u-u-u-g-e!!! And fantastically delish! Yum! ????
Side of fresh brown rice & refried beans (thick, but not overly so) — the meal was complete. All for about $13!!! This is my new go-to Mesa local for great Mexican cuisine!

Stopped here on my way home from the gym for breakfast. Dang this was a good burrito. Steak, egg, cheese, and potato burrito done just right. I don't like it when a burrito needs salsa in order to be good. This isn't one of those. It completely stands on it's own without salsa. BUT if you're a salsa person they do have a good salsa bar. Check this place out. I highly recommend it for breakfast. Now I gotta come back and try their lunch menu ????????
I ordered the hashbrown burrito and I regret it. This might be a personal preference but I expected crunchy hashbrowns, eggs and bacon in a soft tortilla but instead I received a greasy mess. Inside was jerky-like bacon, greasy chunky yellow cheese, greasy hashbrowns and 1 diced potato and where was the eggs?? It was 75 percent jerky meat cut in different sizes. I couldn't eat the rest, pretty much a waste of money. I'm hoping the other burritos/food aren't as bad, I'm willing to try something else and adjust my review since this place is so close by.
From the outside, we've always been a little skeptical about this place... but then we decided why not, and gave it a try! Omg! So glad we did! The flavor is awesome, its alot like Filabertoes, except not as greasy and the breakfast burritos are not as big. But they are on point with flavor and pretty good. The restaurant is clean, staff is friendly.
I didn't like the taste of their salsa so much. It was too salty.
Their chips are made well and not greasy. Also try the chicken chimichanga, it's pretty good.
So to give you an example, compared to Filabertoes:

Often I visit this establishment. It's affordable and convenient. I like the freshness of the food, the staff are friendly, and the service is good and fast.
This particular site is clean, and the atmosphere is inviting. I have tried many of their menu items, and I'm satisfied with the outcome.

I ordered over the phone on a Tuesday night. I ordered a quesadilla, a Tuesday special $5.00 w/ a drink(which is a bean and cheese burrito enchilada style), a chicken taco, and an abogado (pork) taco. Everything turned out really good. The bean and cheese special is flipping huge. The red sauce is fantastic! It was a pretty slow night, only the cashier and one cook. I would recommend this place for good and inexpensive Mexican food.
Food has always been good, we normally get the bean and cheese burro enchilada style, rolled tacos, nachos, carne asada burros, breakfast burros, all have been good.
