Hands down the WORST PLACE TO GO TO GET YOUR HAIR DYED. He is extremely rude, arrogant, and might I add RACIST. I walked in 2 hours before closing and showed him a picture of the hair color I wanted. He said “$125 each.” To my knowledge, I thought he meant $125 for the whole thing. He started with my sisters hair and took literally 15 mins to bleach it and put her under the heat. He was hurting her the whole time he was working w it’s her, using full pressure on her face and forehead. Then I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he kept saying “no this is too blonde for you it’s not gonna look good. You’re not white and you’re not a model, you’re Indian” first of all, I’m not Indian. He kept assuming my race. He kept laughing in my moms face when she told him she didn’t like what he was doing and said were stubborn because we don’t like to listen. We’re his clients, were paying him, HE should be the one to listen to what I’m telling him to do. He did my hair in 10 mins. Long story short, he did me and my sisters hair in an hour and a half. The results were NOTHING like we asked for. We both had copper hair. At the end, he told us that he charged us both $160 each because he “added color” when he did not add color to my hair. Isn’t that supposed to be included? And if not, why did he quote the price wrong? We came back the next day and HE RUINED IT FURTHER. He didn’t pay any attention to me (in fact he didn’t even come to me. He told some lady to just go put toner in my hair which didn’t do anything. It made it look uglier.) He half heartedly did my sisters hair and messed it up even more. He only pays attention to his Assyrian/middle eastern clients!! He only tries to satisfy them and no one else. I would never ever recommend anyone going to him. Worst. Experience. Ever.

GREAT AND VERY ACKNOWLEDGED STYLIST!!! Really knows how to work with hair ranging from All kinds of hair pigmentation. Professional, respectful! Albert Memi and Jackie were very understanding and knew what I wanted for my hair! Loved it! Amazing will definitely recommend to anyone who is worried about their hair!!!
I'd give it ZERO stars because that's what you give to a business when you schedule one of their 5 minute overpriced haircuts, drive 45 minutes to get there and the hairdresser simply is NOT present.
It wasn't a misunderstanding. A friend of mine had the same happen to her not long ago, this is a pattern. It displays disrespect and unprofessionalism.
I like his haircut, maybe because my wavy hair doesn't expose defects but it isn't worth it dealing with the arrogant person holding the scissors. I always felt treated second best for declining extras offered to me since anything done there can be really expensive, while he'd be all smiles to ladies who had a lot things done the same day.
There are real professional and fair priced salons and I'll find another one to do business with. Not this place anymore!!
Most of his hair customers seem to be part of his Middle Eastern close community and might receive a better treatment than the others like me, that might be the only explanation for a 5 star review of Albert Memi.
Albert and his staff are nothing short of amazing. Izabella did my brows flawlessly. I spend all afternoon there and really felt taken care of. No matter how busy his salon gets, you can feel he is looking out after everyone wether you are an old client or new one who just wandered in. Besides his playful demeanor, he is truly an artist. Just listen to him with an open mind and let him do his job. He gave me the most amazing long layers. I wish I took a before and after pic.
My favorite saloon in Chicago and let just tell you I’m very picky and only want the best service. Albert has magical hands and after seeing him once we became bestfriens. If your looking for someone that will keep up with trends you found the right guy ????
It was the first time I went to Albert's salon and I as in for a surprise. He made me stand up to cut my hair his haircut lasted 3 minutes - literally. 3 minutes. When I inquired about it he said he was done. He just gave me a few layers he didn't even trimmed my ends or my bangs. I was charged $60 for absolutely nothing. I feel I got ripped off and now I have to pay again to have a real haircut by someone professional. This was an extremely disappointing experience and I don't understand why he got so many 5 stars on his reviews. Will never go back.
Adi is a great nail technician! She has been doing nails for a long time, and when I went for my first time I was not surprised! She took care of my cuticles and made my pedicure look so fresh! Not to mention the no-chip I got too! She gets the cuticles looking very nice. Love this place and will be coming back.
Great salon , friendly people and great services !
Albert is the best hairdresser in the Northshore.
