Nice outdoor and indoor restaurant.
The hostess didn't know what tables were available, and she directed us to go find one. When we sat down, one of the servers told us we had to go back to the hostess to get menus.
The food was delicious, but we did order a steak cooled medium rare, and they cooked it well done. The waitress was friendly and helpful, and she made sure we had everything we needed.
I love the music! It was also a great atmosphere with cool decorations. Very unique items hanging from the ceiling like old doors. They also have a lot of natural wood decor kinda still tree like looking. They also having eating outside available. We sat at the bar and although there weren't many people there it was a bit before I was able to flag someone down to help us. The fried tomatoes were good -mardi gras special but the she crab soup tastes like cheese soup.
Such a beautiful setting! Service and food very good. Drink of the day amazing! Go during the day and enjoy sitting outside. Heat lamps are on when it's chilly!
Listen.. AJs is a lot of things.. The live music? Fantastic. The cheap fruity drinks? Better than most. The views of the water? Hard to pass up… What it’s not though…? A restaurant I’d drive out of way (while on the panhandle) or recommend to someone based on the food and service… having said that, my experience was more than desirable.
I'm not sure where to start, after we were finished with our food it was like pulling teeth to get our check. The food was mediocre at best and super expensive for what we had (50 bucks for some chips, 2 tacos, and a salad) and we were seated in front of a door that led out to the dock where a guide was cleaning fish. I get it, the restaurant is at a dock what do you expect, but the smell of the fish/water was almost too much for us. Maybe this was just a first time coincidence, but I won't be back to find out.
100% recommend this place, Awesome atmosphere, great staff, and amazing food. Glad I chose this place.
Dog friendly, with a good patio view.
Things you should know:
I. PARKING
There's a large, free parking lot out front. Always an available space. Easy.
II. SERVICE
The food was timely; the waitress was not. We had to hunt her down after waiting 20 minutes for our check.
III. QUALITY
I wouldn't say this is the place to go to for food and leave it at that. My party was dissatisfied. On a positive note, I can see this place being more known for its bar ~ something we didn't experience for ourselves.
IV. CAPACITY
The indoor dining was almost empty. Most people will sit at the patio area.
We went twice this trip and the first time our waitress was great . We went today and the food was good but we he waitress was horrible .
It took a long time to get our food , which isn’t the issue , we needed refills and the waitress was no where to be found .
I got up twice to find someone , the first time I couldn’t even find a person who worked there . Finally the second time I found someone and she brought us drinks , the waitress never even apologized. Then getting our check so we could leave was nearly impossible.
I know it’s hard to find good help but with the prices of we paid to eat you all surely can find a better waitress
