Terrible experience. Went into the office to have my finger checked out for a nailbed avulsion and prior to even entering the exam room, this so-called doctor basically told me that there was nothing she could do for me after they collected a $75 co-pay from me… Once I was inside the exam room, the doctor hardly even looked at the injury and also told me that they could not provide x-rays because the x-ray technician was not on site that day. I knew that the finger was not broken, but I wanted to receive some sort of care for the avulsion at the very least antibiotics. She proceeded to press on the injury, extremely hard, causing more pain and bleeding, and then reiterated that she could not do anything for me and that I needed to see a specialist which is not even true. The only thing that she offered me was ONE packet of bacitracin and a finger splint that does not even fit me. This doctor had a very terrible attitude and seemed more concerned about covering her self rather than actually helping me. She neglected to even flush the wound or do anything helpful, I even had to beg for her to prescribe me oral antibiotics to be sent to my pharmacy for my main concern was preventing infection.
Wonderful experience. Lady Doctor did great jon with my daughter She was very kind and explained everything in a very clear manner. Ahe was also vey friendly.. All the staff was great, theyvwere very helpful!!!!!
Russia and all of the women that work there are just AMAZING! They are so kind and professional and sweet! I felt so safe and cared for! Thank you for everything that you do! They found my break and they wrapped it and made it feel a lot safer and better with the splint. I’m so happy that we have this amazing place right in town!
I brought my daughter here recently. My daughter was very sick and the doctor treated her like she was being dramatic. The doctor asked me if she is always like this? I asked him what he meant. He said I guess all children have their own ways. Again I was confused by this. I told the Dr that she had been throwing up since 3am, had a high fever, chills, body ache, back pain and ear ache. The Dr looked into her ears and told me they were fine. He tried to listen to her lungs but she was having trouble breathing and he was annoyed that she was making a noise when trying to breath. The noise she made when trying to breath was due to pain. There was no real assessment done. He prescribed anti nausea and sent us on our way. I checked her ears the next day and they were both red and inflamed and impacted. To cut a long story short there was another trip to a different urgent care and emergency room. By the time my daughter reached the ER she had multiple infections, was very sick and scheduled for possible surgery. Thankfully she recovered and surgery was no longer needed. I would not recommend urgent care to anyone. If you do go please be vigilant and make sure you advocate for your child as this whole experience was so scary for my daughter and her family. Doctors should leave their egos at the door and treat their patients (kids) with more respect.
By and large I've had good experiences with AFC. Have probably used them a dozen times over the years. Many of the doctors and doctors' assistants have proved to be more efficient and competent than my own family primary care physician. Usually the wait time to get in isn't bad.
I visited AFC Urgent Care, Lyndhurst last month for medical clearance. I found the staff to be outstanding.
As I was waiting to be seen, I was impressed by the way the receptionist handled the long line that had formed, as well as the nonstop phone calls. The entire time, she remained poised and polite, juggling multiple responsibilities at once.
The doctor was personable, knowledgeable, and professional.
Highly recommend!
