John is a highly respected diesel mechanic in this area and I so appreciate his experience, him taking the time with his customers, and his fair pricing. He also knows transmissions too! John is absolutely great, cool and honest person. Fixed my 5th gear transmission problem in less than a day and was completely honest claiming that it was just one bolt when other mechanics quoted me three grand without even looking at it. Amazing service and support from John and Elaine. He knew my old 12 valve Cummins like the back of his hand and went the extra mile and worked to save me money. It looked so good under my hood, clean, painted head and fuel lines. Last time a dealership did head gaskets for me you couldn't even tell they worked on it because everything was left completely filthy.
These guys are the greatest. We were stranded with a broken down diesel truck and John the owner went out of his way for us, told us what was wrong, approx cost for repairs and let us hang out long enough until we figured out how to get back home, 20 some miles away. I'd let him work on the truck any day, but it wasn't our truck. Our sincere thanks to John and his crew!
Great service! Sound advice! The man tells it like it is, never any up sell or unanswered questions. I have brought my whole family into Advantage because of the honest work done. They work on both my gas and diesel vehicles and have become an invaluable resource for knowledge. I will not take any of my vehicles to anyone else.
This guy is a total ripoff. Tried to charge $4,000 for a $1,200 job and kept vehicle for over 10 months. He's currently being investigated by the BAR (Bureau Auto Repair) for fraud.
