I was going to this repair shop for the past 4 years the Owner Mo was always forgetting the estimate he gave me, he ended up overcharging me I reminded him which seemed to irritate him a bit so recently I called him about installing a part I ordered as I wanted the replacement to be the brand that came on my vehicle to be the same the labor rate on the high side should've been $92. He said he'd call me back in a few minutes, which he did and Quoted me 5 hrs labor. I was a mechanic for over 38 years so I don't know why he didn't just man up and say I don't wish for you to go elsewhere instead of being a chicken plucked. I checked reviews through yelp for other shops near my home called the one with best reviews was Quoted $80 labor on the high side. I went to the shop on the day and time agreed on. I was told I could wait there the owner did the work and finished within 20 minutes and charged me $40 needless to say I have found a better shop. I won't be calling or going back to Adam's Automotive Repair EVER.

First I would like to say Moe and his crew are solid mechanics and they do know what they are doing. I got my Volvo engine swapped out had the turbo rebuild and my transmission swapped out . I was amazed with my Volvo performance, it was like a new Volvo again. I was very happy with his prices and his great service. I also got a little tour of Moe's Birds habit that he put together. This guy came recommended by a friend of mine. I spoke to him and he seemed to be a good person. I gave him my 5 series BMW and I asked him to check it and replace what's needed. He kept the car for 3 months and after he said the car is ready to go, I picked up the car and drove it and the transmission started kicking. I thought what is this s**t? I'm not happy with his service and he doesn't know what he is doing. Be AWARE!!!!! Everything that sounds good sometimes is too good to be true...
Took my car to this shop to get my water pump and timing belt fixed. However when I I picked up my car it would make a weird and loud noise when I turned it. IT ONLY STARTED MAKING THIS NOISE AFTER I TOOK IT TO THIS SHOP. I’m thinking they didn’t put some parts back correctly but whatever. He tells me I need to drive it couple days and it will go away. It doesn’t go away. I take it back then he tells me that my power steering pump is messed up and I need to change that so I bought the part and paid him to replace it. However it still makes the super loud noise! He says AGAIN drive it couple days and it will go away. AS IM LEAVING HIS PARKING LOT MY CAR STARTS TO SMOKE. Turns out it wasn’t even the pump it was a whole different part that caused the steering to make noise which then started to smoke when they replaced the pump. I probably didn’t even need to replace the pump. I don’t know about this shops honesty but guaranteed this shop doesn’t know anything about fixing cars.
These guys are pros. Moe knows about auto repair like the back of his hand. You're not in business for well over 20 years unless you know what you're doing. They're one of the best mechanic shops in Whittier. I highly recommend these guys. Thanks for always taking care of us Moe!
