My son made an appointment with Ish a week ago and today he never showed up. Other barbers texted him and he still never showed. After waiting 30 minutes another barber took him but then charged him $30 for an edge up. Thus place was very unprofessional and clearly didn't care about new potential clients. If you don't care and are in a rush have a go at em. Just be prepared to be disappointed.
Gabby did an amazing job on my son. My kid is beyond picky and Gabby was patient with him. We left with my son loving his haircut. I can say that's the 1st time in forever we left a Barber shop with my son happy. Thanks so much!!!
First time here and it was a 10/10 Experience.
Gaby was my barber, i showed him what I wanted and he cut it perfectly, I feel and look better thanks to him. Gaby is also attentive and accommodating to everyone that walks in.
I recommend this barbershop and will be coming back.
Chris has been keeping me fresh for years and I wouldn't trust my hair line to many others. Overall nice jovial and professional barbershop. Comments on making appointments are spot on...I used to be pissed waiting there as a walk in prior to getting Chris' number. If you don't know who to get just call ahead and someone will take you. Not too much turn over in staff either many of these guys have been working there for a few years.
My husband wanted his hair cut and, based on the reviews, we thought we'd give Ace of Spades a try. The studio was clean and looked very promising. The advertisement on the window listed all the types of hair cuts they did and even specified that they did scissor cuts. My husband pulled up a couple pictures to show what he wanted and the barber pulled out the clippers and basically gave him an all-one-length suede head kind of look. When my husband said it wasn't what he wanted, the barber said that if he'd wanted a scissor cut, he should have asked for one. Also, the barber took pictures for social media in the middle of the cut (mullet stage) and presumably posted them-- definitely without permission. Anyway, hair grows back, there are lots of other barbers in town and my guy can pull off any look. The thing is, inexperience is totally forgivable, miscommunication is completely understandable, but flat out rude, bad customer service is just irritating. In a fairly saturated market, I doubt many businesses can be so frivolous with their customer base as to almost go out of their way to chase off new customers. Having said THAT. the other clients I saw leaving looked great and very pleased with their new do. I'm thinking we just lucked out with a barber on a bad day. We won't be going back to find out.
Ask for Gaby! I walked in and explained what I wanted and he gave me a better cut than I had asked for! Gaby is cool to talk to and gave me recommendations on not just the haircut but local restaurants and stores, I'm glad I finally found a good barber and shop that I can trust.
This is rather easily the best barber shop in Orlando. I moved to St. Pete for a couple years and if anyone knows anything about a good hair stylist, when you find one, it is hard to find another. I went through a couple of barbers in St. Pete and while I didn't typically hate my hair, it wasn't the same as what I was used to. I eventually acquiesced, sucked it up, and accepted those barbers and made them my own.
I recently move back to Orlando and tried to find a barber shop close to my home. I sampled several shops and found them all to be unbelievably lacking. I avoided my old barber because the shop was out of my way from my new house. One day I was forced to call him up and go to Ace of Spades. I got the best haircut I've had in years. Ace of Spades reminded me what a true barber shop looks, feels, and sounds like. My barber Chris is phenomenal. The shop itself is well-lit, clean, pleasing to the eye, large and with plenty of seating. The other barbers there are friendly, helpful, and boast of a wide variety. As long as I'm here in Orlando, I will always go to Ace of Spades, and if you're in town or are just looking to make a change, do yourself a favor and take a look here, as you will not be disappointed.
I've lived in Orlando for 15 years and this is by far the best barbershop I've been too. The atmosphere is great, the prices are fair compared to the overpriced chain barbershops, and I've never gotten a bad haircut over the 4 years that I've gone here. They're always busy so booking an appointment is key.
