Best KPortal Reviews
First time having Ethiopian and it was amazing! I could probably eat 20 of their sambusas and the lamb in my dish was so tender. My husband is a spice fiend and he said his dish was the perfect balance of spiciness and flavor. My kids were unimpressed with the offerings but that's on us to broaden their culinary horizons better. Anyway. Staff was very kind to us, I was out of my element so their hospitality was much appreciated. Food was filling and so tasty and I definitely see us returning in the future. Thanks!!
OMGGGG YOU HAVE TO GO HERE . I have been craving Ethiopian food for a very long time. I read so many reviews about having gluten-free injera. I honestly did not believe it until I tried it and the picture was a meat sampler with two veggies on a gluten free injera. We also ordered an appetizer the lentil dish it was gluten-free and it also came with a gluten-free injera. It was so delicious. I took the rest of my injera home to keep in my freezer lol. Just a quick note, I have celiac disease after I went home, the acid was really hurting my stomach because I wasn't used to so much sauces :) but it was so Yummy and it went right away . 5/5 . OH AND OUR SERVER WAS SO SWEET
Positively delightful! It was my first time trying Ethiopian cuisine and our server was friendly and patient with us. Highly recommend the meat and vegetable sampler. It could easily feed 3-4 people. We had the plantains for an appetizer, best plantains I’ve ever had! Also tried the honey wine - I would recommend trying it at least once, comes in a cool glass. We had both the gluten & gluten free injera (bread like food served with the meal) - both were delicious.
Friendly staff, clean restaurant, reasonably priced, very positive experience.
Food was so great. Spices were awesome and the veggies and meet were fresh. The service was very slow and the woman helping us was so angry every time we asked for something, even a napkin. We waited for our check for almost an hour from when we asked for it. The large group at the table next to us actually arrived, ate, paid, and left in the time we were there. While we waited, the woman was going outside, talking on her phone, helping other tables, etc. We probably asked her for the check 4 times, at least. Then, the check was wrong and we were overcharged. At first, the woman actually refused to correct it, despite us showing her the prices on the menu. Finally, she corrected it and gave us our check so we could leave. So despite having a good meal, the poor service left us not feeling great when we left.
Food wise, the meal I ate here was amazing. This was my first Abyssinia dining experience. I would revisit the restaurant to explore their many menu offerings. Ambiance wise, the atmosphere was calming and tranquil. Our server was appropriate. However, since the food is eaten with our hands, a bit of attention in the bathroom would be suggested. Washing up before the meal was not a pleasant or tranquil experience.
There is no heating system. It is really ready Cold ❄️????????????????????
Freezing cold.
The food is ready good.
I definitely recommend it.
The server is a very polite and pleasent lady, I believe that is her husband cooking.
Friendly and pleasant.
This was our first time trying traditional Ethiopian food and it was amazing. The restaurant is decorated with traditional pictures and paintings giving it the motherland feel. The gentleman and lady who served us were very kind and courteous. The aroma coming from the kitchen made our mouths water. The highlight of my meal was the lamb. It was tender and extremely flavorful. The lentils and spicy chickpeas were also to die for. To go we got the fried fish and the portion is pretty good. Prices are very reasonable, for 2 people we spent $73 including tip to dine in and each take home a meal. Denver is extremely lucky to have a place like this. Whenever we visit Colorado again we'll be sure to stop by.
First time trying Ethiopian. The food was delicious and there were many vegetarian options. I had the vegetable combination with five samplers: Gomen, Yemisir Wot, Fosolia Green Beans, Kik Alicha and Atkilt Wot served on a bed of Injera. The server was very friendly and patiently explained all the dishes. The decorations, including furniture made out of straw and traditional artwork, transformed the ambience into a more authentic and wholesome Ethiopian dining experience.
