I was in the Area for Work with my Husband and spotted this Quaint Little Cafe by the Waterfront on Google Maps. I was extremely hungry so we went straight over for Breakfast.
The Cafe was Lovely inside, it looked like a Family-Run Joint which is always going to be where I prefer to spend my Money. The Lady who served us was Kind and Sociable, she gave us a little backdrop of the Area.
Yvonne, the little old lady who the Cafe is named after was sat there too and that made me feel warm inside. She looks like anyones Gran and boy did she bake some wonderful authentic cakes! I would recommend the Old School Cake and the Millionaires Shortbread.
The Tea was Great (I'm fussy when it comes to Tea) and so we're the Toasties we got, which we sat by the River Dee and ate. The View was Phenomenonal!
There was an elderly chap who gave us a Tour of his Boats which proved to be very interesting.
Honestly, hands down this Place was Fab! They made me feel so welcome and the food reminded me of being a British Kid in the 90s. Love Love Love!!
Nice food at good prices. Fast service.
Had food couple of times here and service and location + food is exceptional. The only true good cafe in Connah's Quay.
Fantastic value food, prepared on site. Very interesting location with good parking nearby and lovely walks along the river bank.
Yvonne's cafe is on our route for cycling. It's conveniently situated for us as a lunch stop. Great coffee, food and quickly served too. Relatively inexpensive too.
Called in here after a walk, lovely quirky cafe with a nice seating area outside, staff was friendly, only had a cup of tea, they had a special board, all homemade and very cheap too! The food looked lovely coming out!
Great little place, lovely older lady kindly stayed open so we could have a spot of lunch. Clean and great food in a unusual spot but perfect for walkers starting the Wales Coast Path. Try the bargain millionaires shortbread!
Great ???? service and location. Quite a few in when I popped in on my bike ???? midweek at 12 noon in June (2023). Bacon n egg ???? bap £3.50. Mug of tea £1.
