Decent Fish and Chips at an amazing price. The Deals they have on are great, a must Visit if in the area.
Absolutely love this place it is my favourite!
I sometimes travel from Gateshead just for the food here.
The only tiny bit of criticism I have is when it's busy it's difficult to know where to stand and queue.
Portion was a little less this time and prices have gone up, but this has happened everywhere so nothing to complain about really as the food still tasted absolutely gorgeous.
Best cheese pattie & chips I've ever had. Friend had fish & chips and really enjoyed that too. Great prices. Will definitely visit again.
Very disappointed to be honest.
The chips were greasy, soggy and cold.
The 'large' fish was at best a medium, dry and more batter than fish.
The "large' fish and chip supper certainly wasn't worth nearly £8. The gravy tasted nice!
The sausage and chips we had were not too bad. If I'm honest we only went here because the queue at almighty cod was too long for us to wait. The staff were lovely and the service spot on. What I don't understand is why different chip shops food taste so different. I would go back again
I visited here on Tuesday of this week and the usual queue was at the shop, after standing for around fifteen minutes and the queue not moving very far, I was about to leave and then the penny dropped that were two places to pay at the counter. The long queue was for customers paying by credit card and there was no queue at all for people paying in cash. I walked past the entire queue and was served immediately after I declared I was paying by cash as I usually always do. CASH IS KING and always will be in my opinion. I ordered the large fish chips and mushy peas with a free drink, tea, coffee or bottle of water for only £8.40. A large piece of fresh cod on top of ample chips with a carton of mushy peas in the corner was my reward. I wandered across the road and found an empty seat and ate my glorious lunch in the sunshine with a slight cold breeze, they were delicious and very cheap compared to my home location of Bishop Auckland.
We had fish, chips and mushy peas from here for the first time yesterday.
Fish was excellent as were the chips the mushy peas however were outstanding, I will be ordering double next time.

Amazing fish and chips. Long queue but worth. It's not expensive, wide range of food, fast and friendly service.
Located at the front with amazing views to the beach. Take away only. Card and cash payment accepted.
