We managed to use the free on street parking just after the info centre, did an 8.5 mile circular hike stopping at Janet Foss, Gardale Scar (unable to climb due to amount of water rushing over it), Malham Tarn and Malham Cove. Quite a nice hike bit Trollers Gill was better.
Absolutely amazing place. Get there early if you want parking, please don't park like a tw@.
What an amazing day spent walking round. Every step was just full of the most stunning venues. I literally could not stop taking photo
So well worth a visit.
Useful, good location just on the outskirts of Malham. A little bit expensive if you're making a quick stop but good value for walkers at just £5 for the day. Plus the fee goes to help maintain the National Park, so it's in a good cause.
Plenty of fantastic walks from here, from a couple of miles upwards, through glorious Dales scenery.
The watersinks car park is close to Malham Tarn. Few potholes but suitable for walks with the gear on!
Main car park is in Malham village. This is tarmac with Toilets. Charges except disabled. Many walks from here, excellent!
Decent car park in an ideal location. Toilets on the way through to the village. Does get very busy. Was only a couple of spaces left when we arrived mid afternoon. Not overly expensive.
The machine did seem to take a little while to respond. So keep in mind when paying for the time you need. Maybe need to add a paybyphone option, didn't see that there anyway.
If you can park on the road beforehand (arriving from the south), you may as well as it saves you paying. Can imagine it's absolutely chaotic during the summer months with parking and actually get there. Stunning views from the top of malham Cove. Definitely worth a visit.
While a lovely car park and great facilities for such a tourist hot spot. It couldn’t cope with the influx of people in January after Christmas. People were parking on the grass/mud, blocking exits. People were parking in the EV spots that weren’t for them. Chaos and no one supervising the car park or selfish drivers.
Great little car park, spaces for about 60 cars, so get there early. £5.50 for all-day parking. There toilets there and a gift shop. From there you can walk to the village or start the circular walk around the cove.
