I took my car to Yate Garages based on a recommendation from a friend. I am usually quite nervous going to garages but I was greeted by Stephen who was friendly and welcoming.
He took a look at the damage to my car and was able to do a minor repair in less than 10 minutes, but not before he showed me the damage. I had previously been quoted £125+VAT plus £150 labour from the main dealer, for something so small that could be repaired. It was no trouble for Stephen whatsoever and I am so thankful that he did not take advantage of me like the main dealer have.
A little kindness goes a long way, and I think it’s safe to say Yate Garages have just gained a customer for life.
Really nice, Family ran garage as a woman It can be very daunting, but I was put at ease. They were honest the work was done to the highest standard and I would happily go back.

I used Steve at Yate Garages for the first time 3yrs ago when my clutch went on my Fiat. After fantastic service and the best price around I have been back many times with many different cars and he has always managed to get them booked in quickly, easily and with all the parts needed.
The last car I took down was finished within an hour and a half.
I would recommend Yate Garages to everyone.
I cannot praise these guys enough. We experienced a leak in the coolant system of my VW Brazilian camper around Winchester, en route from Manchester to France. I could only get the specialist part in Bristol. It was a Friday late afternoon. Steve went out of his way to retrieve the part from a neighbouring business before closing time and to arrange access to Yate Garages so that we could be towed across country there. He and his colleague replaced the coolant part the next morning despite being booked up. They saved our family holiday! Complete stars!
