I was there for a 2 days training. I had my ouw bedroom on site and it was Amazing. The whole complex is great. Breakfast is good, lunch and dinner were delicious. Coffee during training were from a machine and it was great coffee. The meeting room was bright and the bar service at night was fantastic. A bit of a queue due to the number of people, but it was a great evening. All staff were great. Room very clean and comfy.
Attended the conference centre for a work thing. I did arrive at night, the weather wasn't great. The roads were not draining significantly large puddles ,all in not easy to navigate to. The rooms, the one I stayed in at least - they operate a tiered system - the standard room is reminiscent of a cheap B&B. The layout of the blocks is like a military base. The upshot - the food is great. The conference facilities are brilliant.
I met here with our volunteering team. It's such a fab place to meet with great food, excellent facilities and a warm welcome. I've been a few times and looking forward to going back later for year.
The bedrooms and clean and tidy (could do with an iron in them) the conference centre is dated now and do with some money invested in it
Good food, nice rooms, friendly staff, good value, nice walks and I can bring my dog
Love this place! We come back twice a year to run our Improv classes.
Accommodation is good but a little tired. Restaurant, food and bar excellent. This place has been a GPO, then BT and now Openreach training centre since the 60's, and they are still here. There's even a field of telephone poles for them to train on. Army camp nearby generates some small arms and automatic weapons noise which is interesting but not intrusive.
Great environment, lovely place to escape the hassle of city life. Beautiful environment and lovely place to get in touch with nature.
