Was recommended to come here by a local who said there was always a queue of people when they came past. They weren’t wrong and the queue moved quickly. They added exactly the right amount of salt & vinegar so it was seasoned perfectly. The batter was very yellow in colour but it all tasted nice. I thought my large cod was on the small side but I was full once I’d eaten. Would definitely come back here again if I’m in the area.
Well where do I start… my friend had order her food for her children and I done so after for my 2kids to be waiting after 3 other people to be served before me… I was then rudely spoken to by and blond hair girl that was serving the food and a-brown hairs boy cooking the fish telling me to Waite, can’t use my phone in the shop, get out the shop now for a black individual I find it hard not to consider this as racism in a beautiful area like isle of sheppy very multicultural environment to be encountered but some fascists… not to mention the locals stated they are very rude and has no manners or respect and always having new workers. Its unacceptable and outrageous for people to be working with such awful customer service

Lovely fish and chips shop with very nice staff members! Ordered the popular cod and chips with mushy peas and they made it on the spot which was so delicious. They had a lot of different types of fish and so many items on the menu that I have not seen anywhere else. The store was very clean and one way system was really good too. Having a stand to add more vinegar could be lovely but other than this very pleased with this chippy :)!! If I am back in the area definitely will visit back again!
Visited Leysdown today with my uncle, who last visited this seaside resort 60 years ago. Was pleased to see Woody's open, so decided to stop for a fish and chip supper.
Though the shop was pretty much empty, I wanted scampi, so we had to wait for a little while whilst it was cooked to order. This gave us time to look at the lovely photos on the walls, which depicted Woody's over the ages. Unfortunately, the photos didn't have any details, but a staff member happily told us the decade they were taken in.
My uncle and I sat in the car and ate our supper, which was delicious. Thank you Woody's for making our 180-mile round trip worth it.
There was a bit of a wait for food but that was because everything was cooked fresh. Their meal deal was amazing value for money and so well cooked. Not too greasy and very tasty. Customer service was incredible.
Small portions at a high price, beans yes please! Nope curry sauce for you Mr. Thought we'd eat in the gardens opposite, very pleasant seaguls decided to pay us a visit and enjoyed the food more than we did, there's going to be some very stinky seagulls after eating my chips!
Lovely warm welcoming lady called Louise served us, only waited 10 mins for food and the food was delicious ????????
