Woods used to be a good bakery. Lately, the soup has been terrible, it tasted like it was made with a cheap synthetic soup powder and the baked potato had come out of the microwave and was still cold. There is nothing wrong with the service, the ladies have worked there for many years so it is obviously a management issue as stated in previous reviews.
After attending an appointment this morning I called in the woods craft bakery for the first. I had a fried egg sandwich on a very soft and fresh t cake. To take home I bought a couple of home made lasagnes and a couple of samosas, the food was so lovely, you can actually see and taste the freshness. I will be visiting again. Homemade food all the way. I was served by a lovely lady who was so obliging and very pleasant. I really recommend a visit, lots to choose from savoury and sweet.
Amazing place for food. Staff are friendly and I always have a laugh with them. I travel a lot so I know good value for money and never been disappointed. It’s one place I look forward to when I know I’m passing.
Delicious fresh goodies, plenty of options & generous portions. What is there not to like?! The staff members are so friendly and they’re happy to make suggestions and make dietary adjustments. Will be coming back for more ☺️
Think this is the best sandwich and cake shop in Lancashire. The Best in Blackburn for sure.
Absolutely love this place, go at least once every week, great value for money, really friendly staff. The alternating special of the week is always tasty and filling. ????
Shame to be leaving a 1 start review as it’s always been perfect. Unfortunately they have new owners now and the food standard has slipped dramatically. This review is not in any pointed at the ladies who are the staff. They have always been brilliant. It’s clearly a management issue
Went there today for a butty (we do every Saturday with work) but I'll be changing that after yet again a terrible breakfast from here. Somehow this place has good reviews but I'll never know why? Every item of food I've had from here has been absolutely terrible! Dried up very small tasteless sandwich.. Absolutely awful food and for some reason they only do one pathetic sized butty??? Honestly one of the worst butties I've ever had, friend got a salad box that was pathetic too, salad box?? More like last week's rabbit food... DRY, STALE.. and as for 'salad' What salad? The chicken salad box literally had half a sliced egg and stale lettuce in it.. It was vile. How serving food like this is acceptable I'll never know my 4 year old can cook better. The standards need to improve massively, for months now terrible food, just not good enough it's a ZERO star rating from me!
