As many said before. Can't get through the phone. They have appointments available in month time, but will not release my friends diabetes prescription until then so we have to call each morning just to listen to the ridicules "line busy"/no appointments for today rubbish. Avoid!!
Your didn't advised any resolutions to our problems. You said you increased the availability of appointments, (so you confirmed you can actually fix the issue), but you did it to the level so it doesn't make any difference to the patients. Great, thanks!
I don't understand your advise regarding app. We have it, but the issue is we can't repeat prescription as per my previous message. We need doctors appointments which we can't get. It means you registered more people that you can cope with, right? Medical Centres should be measured on the number of patients they refused service due to the lack of space/appointments. Such numbers shared across counties would help to understand how many more places are needed and I don't think it's ok to continue to ignore this issue "because elsewhere is the same". We all pay for this service and have to beg and get stressed that we can't get it. It shouldn't have to be like this! This is not normal!
Worst surgery I’ve ever been with. Impossible to get a same day appointment with the lack lustre phone system at 8am. Forced to book online and wait two weeks to see the doctor. I then get a txt saying my appointment has been cancelled due to ‘unforeseen circumstances’ Very very poor. What is the point of joining a surgery if you cannot get an appointment? If I could give less than one star, I would.
Trying to call them every morning at exactly at 8 and the line is always busy and by the time I managed to reach them there are no appointments available. I have serious medical conditions that need to be kept under control and checked. But it can’t be possible as I can never get an appointment, which result my symptoms getting worse and then needing to go to hospital instead.
Unfortunately, I do not recommend Woodbrook Medical Center. this is the worst clinic in the whole of loughborough. they don't answer the phone, they completely ignore people even at the counter, they cancel appointments for which you have to wait a long time anyway, and it's almost impossible to make an appointment for the next one. In my opinion, this clinic should be closed because it limits and blocks access to the GP for people who need urgent visits. and medical consultations
I moved to woodbrook medical centre some 6 months ago, frankly I am very impressed with all aspects of this surgery.
I get appointments easily, the wait on the day is fairly short and treatment/solutions are provided.
Given the crisis in the rest of the NHS, this surgery has done well to maintain their high standards and I can’t recommend it enough.
How is it possible to be queue position 1 for OVER AN HOUR. It is unacceptable. Either employ a better phone system or employ more staff to service the demand or employ more competent staff that are able to meet the demands of the job. If your GPs were to actually send prescriptions in a timely manner, and do a better job in general, there would be fewer calls.
This is Lilla. I tried calling for an apmt from 8am. My call finally on to the system at 9.36am. Call answered around 10.25ish. Receptionist more or less called me a liar saying "that's not true"... my call log proves I was on the call for just over 55mins. Receptionist I spoke to needs to be advised by drs not to call patients liars because recorded conversations at the surgery and call logs on patients phones can prove otherwise. Drs at the Practice are brilliant maybe the receptionist I spoke to needs retraining.
I was surprised that I was offered to be put through to the physiotherapist when I asked to see a doctor or the duty doctor after explaining what my concern was... I didn't know a receptionist can diagnose a patient and refer them to another service without the drs consultation. Not happy at all.
Always provide excellent service. Of course it is frustrating to have to wait 45 minutes to get through but that's not the fault of the practice but due to the amount of calls they receive. No surgery would not want to accommodate as many patients as possible. I have rang several times in the past year and always got an appointment (eventually) and the one time they were full up, I saw a wonderful nurse who sorted out my issue quickly. We were clapping for our doctors and nurses not so long ago; I think some people have very short memories. Maybe they should book an appointment and remember to be grateful.
