I only gave this place one star as there was no option to leave none. I looked online for a good local takeaway and decided on this one as it had the best reviews. I ordered a takeaway for collection. I was informed that it would be ready in half an hour. I turned up half an hour later to collect it. Half an hour after that I was still waiting. Decided enough was enough and joined the queue to demand a refund. Two other groups were complaining about having to wait 2 hours for their main. The other group had their main served with no rice and had to wait 25 minutes for it to be served, obviously at which point the rest of the food was cold. Finally my order arrived a whole hour after ordering, I could have cooked it myself quicker. This place is a joke, don’t waste your time. Try somewhere else instead.
Went in for a take away meal and it was Devine perfectly cooked. The king prawns where succulent and a melt in the mouth delight full of flavour and the chicken tasted amazing with a tender texture. The staff was super polite and helpful, well presented and have excellent mannerisms. Next time i will call in for a sit down meal and treat the family. definitely recommend.
Been here plenty of times; each time just as good as the last. Impossibly friendly staff, they really make you feel welcome. Happy to cater for bigger tables and aren't afraid to put the extra effort in for special requests either, which is nice. Will adjust the ingredients in your dish if you ask and I've never had an order go wrong once. Highly recommend it for some lovely Cantonese food.
Excellent Chinese food. Particularly liked the large portions of vegetables sautéed with my chicken. Usually in similar restaurants there is only a token portion of veg. We had not made a reservation and it was a Saturday night. They graciously made room for us and the staff were particularly solicitous. Great experience!
Very nice food and very nice staff. We had no reservation but still managed to fit us in in a busy night. Even entertaining the kids who said it was the best meal ever.
This was a great end to a very nice day.
I'm very fussy about Chinese food, I don't like it when it's laced with salt and sugar and it has to taste right. Wong's has it all! The food was fantastic I wasn't dying of thirst all night after and it tasted just fabulous.
Staff were very attentive and friendly, highly recommended.
This evening 04/03/19 I bought 2 meals an they tasted old, stale, they told me it would be ready in ten minutes & I was there in time. It’s not like it had chance to go stale. I’ll not be going there again. Dissatisfied! When you spend over £20 on two meals you expect them to be cooked fresh.
Every time I order from Wong's the food is always fresh and of a high standard. They have never got anything wrong and staff are always polite and willing to help. Place is always busy therefore I suggest pre-booking rather than just going there as you might have a long wait. Not sure timeframe for re-booking as I have never sat down, only take away.
Best Chinese I've been too. Highly recommended.
