I was pleasantly surprised by the inn as well as the attached restaurant. During our stay the inn was still working on renovations to update their property but it did not impact our stay at all. We appreciated how kind and attentive the staff was throughout our stay and loved the use of actual keys. The room itself was very nice. Would definitely stay again and recommend
This is NOT the luxury hotel from years ago, although they still claim that. Asked for a lake view when checking in and was told there was “absolutely nothing available.” Room we got was dirty with crumbs on the night table. We complained and suddenly there was a room with a view we were moved to. So, the desk clerk initially lied. Second room still had dirty towels in it. NO HOT WATER for shower in the morning. Paltry breakfast with barely anything left at 8:30 am. Deck with peeling paint and rotting wood. Stairs to beach rotting. Gazebo peeling paint and rotting. Missing clapboards on building. They are renovating rooms now, and need to address the outside, but should have addressed these issues long ago. They do not have the right to call themselves LUXURY anymore. We were offered a discount at check out, but how many people put up with this sub par hotel and do not?
Nice inn that is being renovated at the moment. The microfridge was not working in my room, nor was the fan unit. But that is not a problem. Great location and near all the action of downtown Wolfeboro
I’d give a zero if I could. They cancelled my room last minute. They are planning renovations but their poor planning leaves me in a bind and ruins a weekend away I planned with many friends. The lady that called had no sympathy and was very rude. Im a long time patron of both their hotel and restaurant. Both get worse and worse every year and I’m officially done. I’ll be moving my mug out of there like the smart people already did. They should be ashamed at how they manage this hotel.
My cousins and I, with spouses, stayed at The Wolfeboro Inn because we were having a private memorial at Lake Winnepesaukee for John, my cousin who had passed away earlier in 2023. It was a very disappointing experience. We wanted a place in town with a restaurant because we are older and some of us have difficulty walking. We figured that we would eat at the Inn's restaurant often to cut down on hassle. However, when we made the reservation, there was NO mention of an important fact: the Inn's restaurant was closed for lunch and dinner. ??!! Closed at the height of the summer?! We only found that out after we had made the reservation; if we had known this, we would not have booked there. As a result, we were forced to contend with long lines at other restaurants in Wolfeboro when we would have much preferred spending our time enjoying each other's company and remembering John. I heard one front-desk person say rather defensively, "Cooks deserve time off, too." Really? In the middle of the summer?! Needless to say, I would not recommend the Inn and will not return.
Stayed in newly renovated room. Heat didnt work for a few hours. room was slightly dirty. Had to put your shoulder into the room door to open.ice machine didnt work on 3/1. Night time front desk lady on 2/29/24 was trying her very best to help us out which was much appreciated. Walking distance to the town which was nice. Nice views. Not terrible but wouldnt stay again.
Dreadful. I stayed here six years ago and it was awesome. Paid premium price at the end of fall season this year and felt like I was staying at a Super 8. No maintenance has been done since I was there six years ago. Elevators out of service and our porter asked us to help carry the bags (we are all seniors). When I provided feedback to the front desk, she said “we are fixing everything this winter.” The place was in poor repair and also filthy.
We stayed at this lovely hotel at the end of September, for 2 nights, as part of our fly drive holiday to New England. Denise met us at reception and informed us we had been upgraded to a mini suite as this was our Golden Wedding Anniversary holiday. The room was huge and had a shared balcony, overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee. It was beautiful and lovely to sit here and enjoy the view. The furniture was very classic, the bathroom was huge and everything was beautiful and clean. There were complimentary bottles of water. The reception area was very homely and tastefully decorated in an olde worlde style. There was a tea/coffee machine in there for guests to help themselves . Both Denise and Lori, on reception, were so friendly and could not do enough for us, which made our stay here extra special. We were given a list of local restaurants , both for breakfasts and evening meals. Some had closed for the season, but there was still a good choice. On the second morning, we had breakfast in the hotel , which was continental style. We were surprised to find this was complimentary. |While in Wolfeboro, we explored this lovely town with its varied shops. We also drove around the lake, visiting several towns and stopping at view points on the way. |I can thoroughly recommend Wolfeboro and especially the Wolfeboro Inn.
