My wife and I tried Wolfs last night for the first time, and it was hands down the worst cheese steak I’ve ever had. Ordered a cheese steak with pepperoni and mushrooms, and both cooper sharp and American cheese . What I got was the driest most pathetic excuse for a CS I’ve ever received. There were 3 (!)total slices of pepperoni, 2 (!!) mushrooms, practically no cheese (except for a clump in one tiny section) and a fake sarcones roll. I Paid $20(!) and had high expectations. What I got was an actual joke… I laughed out loud. Clearly whoever is cooking there has no pride in what they do bec… well see the pictures for yourself.
The girl who answered the phone, while nice, was almost impossible to understand. After explaining what was wrong she offered to “give me a credit”, as if I would ever go back.
Needless to say two bites and the rest went in the trash.
Today was a first time experience. Ordered on the website for pickup. Even on my receipt, I removed 2 things from the sandwhich but it didnt matter because everything was added regardless. Wasting food isn't something I like to do but I had no choice. Staff was friendly but can't follow simple directions. The food was okay. My co-worker got sausage gravy on his... but it was a yellow color. He won't be ordering that one again. The people cutting the bread can't seem to cut straight either. The smoked gouda mac and cheese bites were good but, for $8? I think these are priced at a higher rate because it's Aston in a college area. I don't think the quality should be priced at these prices. I'm on the fence if to go again. There are other places around here to eat.
Update after owner response: My co-worker wanted to also thank you for not making him pay for his free sandwhich on Tuesday Oct 10th. Its always nicer when a $14 sandwhich is free because employees just give you the food and tell you to have a nice night. Great staff, indeed.
Also, thank you for fixing your online ordering. But my receipt still showed the listed toppings, and bread, I chose for my sandwich. But if your employees need to see the word "No", I'm glad you added it for your employees needs.
My other co-worker had a hard time digesting your yellow sausage gravy too that night. The whole office heard his stomach within an hour of eating it. Sausage gravy isn't suppose to be yellow.
Updated stars too ???????? A good owner would take helpful criticism without the remarks of putting down a paying customer.
Tried Wolf's for the first time tonight and was gravely disappointed.
I ordered around 430 to try to beat the dinner rush since I understand it's the day before a holiday. My food was delivered quickly and even earlier than anticipated. I called specifically to ask for jalapenos to not be included since people who were eating cannot have them. They were very accommodating about this too.
When ordering from new places, we take the tactic of ordering multiple menu items and sharing them so we get a little bit broader taste for the menu. We spent $49 specifically on the food.
Onion rings were fantastic! There was a decent amount and they weren't cooked so hard that they were burnt.
Mozzarella sticks appeared undercooked. I know from having food delivered that these things tend to cool, however, when opening them - the batter covering the mozzarella did not appear fully cooked and the mozzarella still had air bubbles in it like it hadn't been melted. We got one order and were given four mozzarella sticks for $7. Even if cooked longer this price is high.
The Big Memphis.. now I understand that jalapeno is supposed to be included on this and we specifically asked for it to be excluded, however - the issues with this sandwich were much more than that. The macaroni and cheese on the sandwich was dry. It had the look of having sat in the pot warming for too long. The brisket was tender and the onion rings were again great. The sandwich overall lacked flavor. The macaroni and cheese being dry failed to give and the only flavor that stood out was a little bit of barbecue sauce. There did not appear to be seasonings of any kind on this including. Overall it was bland at best.
The Amarillo Smokehouse Pizza.. We got this in a large as it was multiple people sharing. The size was smaller than we thought it would be, being a $23 pizza. Although, it is a specialty pizza. Again we asked for no jalapenos and this was accommodated. As with the sandwich this largely lacked flavor. The crust was chewy, gritty, and very dry. Sauce was drizzled very sparingly, which is sad because it's the only thing that had flavor again.
Overall we didn't get far into this meal before giving up on eating it entirely. We understand that there was a lack of anticipated flavor due to not having jalapenos, however, if that is the only thing giving flavor - this place cannot deliver.
We understand that it's the day before a holiday. We understand that we asked for no jalapenos. Both of those things were taken into account - the price was not worth the quality at all. For the food itself - we paid $49. Added to that were taxes, fees, and a delivery charge. That part is on us. This was not $49 food.
The food was very delicious and they had amazing customer service! Will definitely come here again when we come back down! I got the Aristocrat (with swiss cheese instead of cheddar), my fiance got the Goat, and we got gouda mac and cheese bites!
2 outta 3 ain't bad??? Upside down pizza and Paulie were very good but a plain cheesesteak with Cooper turned into a 9er???? ???? Smelled it before opening, crab stained/ruined the entire sandwich.
I really don't like leaving negative reviews but I heard so many good things bout the food here so we ordered first time last nite. we got the pickle rick and jimmy 2x. the meat in jimmy 2x was all clumped together and looked more like a sausage than steak. did not like the taste AT ALL. nothing like I imagined. my wife couldn't even more than one bite from the pickle rick. she said the taste was like hot liquid garlic which we both like garlic but not over powering the taste of sandwich. needless to say, we are very dissapointed as we are FOODIES and go lots of places looking for new food to rave about. Not sure if it was just a off day but it definitely turned us off as far as ordering or recommending to others. Hope this is not the standard for a shop called SUPERIOR.
SO MANY AWESOME CHOICES on the menu. The kitchen and restaurant are clean and Chef is efficient. The food tasted incredible (especially the roast beast) and the bread was fresh and added to the flavor. Lots of cool combos - I got the Taylor Swift ????

The sandwiches are good however, both times I have ever ordered from here, my sandwich came with things missing. The first time i ordered ahead and took it home. I looked on my sandwich and they forgot to give me the avocado I ordered extra (and cost extra). This time I ordered door dash and ordered the exact same thing and this time they forgot the avocado AND the pickles. Are they just not staffed enough? It’s not that big of a deal but both times I had to pay extra for avocado I didn’t get. I’m getting frustrated and don’t know if I’ll go back. The sandwiches are delicious but I want what I order.
