Best KPortal Reviews

my boyfriend and I stayed here a little bit over a month ago and i forgot to write a review, but this place is great! I stumbled across it and we stayed here for a night after a week of camping. the prices are very reasonable and the owner was very accommodating as i had my dog with us as well. she made a great breakfast in the morning and was very flexible with check in for us. if you’re looking for fancy this is probably not your place but if you appreciate old houses with character and a place nearby lots of nature then this is the place for you! next time we are in white springs we will definitely stay here again
Miss Judith is the best hostess there will ever be. I could easily have forgotten that her house was not mine. We became a well integrated family unit. Thanks for an awesome experience, Miss Judith.
Had a relaxing 4 sisters and 1 niece weekend getaway. We were given the Magnolia and Victoria rooms. What a charming setting. Judith opened the joining doors providing us with a large 3 beds 2 bathroom suite. Bed and bathrooms very clean and comfortable. Judith made us feel right at home. Breakfast was delish. We loved the wrap around porch, March weather was perfect for morning coffee and evening snacks and visiting. Judith has 2 large people friendly dogs who were no problem. Location was perfect for visiting 3 parks. 1 local restaurant "Fat Belly's Grill and bar" was within walking distance we enjoyed their chicken wings and pork plate. We also discovered "The 406 on Duval" 14 miles away in Live Oak, if you have time check it out for amazing atmosphere and food. I would recommend White Springs B & B to anyone who is looking for a comfortable lived in down home relaxed sitting. Bring your own body wash or soap for the showers.
What a hidden, unspoiled treasure just off of Route 75 on my way down to the tip of Florida! Unique, campy, charming (without actively trying to be any of these things) the White Springs B&B, along with Judith, the owner, and an eclectic little group of locals, friendly dogs and parrakeets, could easily be imagined as the Southern setting and eccentric characters in a third novel by John Kennedy Toole.
The deep, dark, gorgeous Suwanee River and a stunningly huge concrete/stone structure that surrounds a massive spring sending volumes of water into the river, are hidden from view by trees and foliage and are just a stone’s throw from the B&B. The structure is several stories high, and at the top there is a decorative circular covered deck, looking over the river, as well as into the collected pool of water in the center, that was used for parties and dances back in the 1920s or so, according to Judith. I would never have found the river or the structure near the B&B if Judith had not mentioned it to me and kindly taken me down there.
The whole town has the same quaint, untarnished-by-developers vibe! Don’t miss the very Southern cemeteries or turn your nose up at Fat Belly’s Restaurant. I avoided the restaurant on my way down, but when I revisited the B&B, headed back north, I decided to eat like the locals do, and was very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is just as charming and eccentric as the B&B, plus the sweet potato fries, which I requested to be very crispy, were amazing, and the coleslaw was very simple, delicious & refreshing; I enjoyed my dozen fried shrimp, as well!
If you like new, modern, pristine, this place is not for you. If you’re like me, appreciating the warmth of the proprietor, the old-fashioned and authentic charm of the B&B, the feel of Florida as it once was, you’ll love it!
On a recent New Mexico road trip I had grown tired of interstate motels. You never know what you're going to find there. I knew I had to stay around lake City and I found this bed and breakfast on Google that was right off i-75. I grew up in an old wood frame house in Tampa Florida. The wood floors and stairways reminded me of that home. It's not five star and it is comfortable and the host Judith communicates well and is very accommodating. It was a very restful overnight stay for me and I did not miss the interstate motel at all. No credit cards but you don't need a lot of cash for one night either. Definitely a good stay for me.
I planned a lovely Valentine's getaway for Roger. Based on the 4 star reviews I booked us for 2 nights at the White Springs B&B. Yes breakfast was good and Judith was very hospitable but we were very disappointed with the facility. It was worn, in bad need of a cleaning, locks on doors were unusual, bathroom was rustic but bed was comfortable. It is an adequate rooming house but certainly not a 4 star B&B. We only stayed one night and then headed home. Reviewers should note there is a difference between a rooming house and a B&B. And yes, there was a big dog.
This is hands down one of the most wonderful gems my wife and I have ever found. Nestled in the quaint town of white springs sits one of the cutest bed and breakfasts. It is ran by an angel of a lady who cooks a delicious breakfast. She was so helpful to us while we were visiting. She was very knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area and offered to help us with anything we needed. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is willing to give it a try.
Traveling from mid state Florida and wanting a bed and breakfast for just one night.,Judy was gracious to have me and her quaint home was perfect. After walking all around the next morning she made a very nice breakfast to prepare me for the day of driving. Coffee service is good and she is knowledgeable about the town. Very historic buildings and path to the old springs is charming.
