My grandma on my mom's side used to take me here when I was little, and my granddad on my dad's side worked here way back in the day. Still the same great bbq I remember. Fries and onion rings are great, as is the Brunswick stew. The sauce is a vinegar/mustard combo if you like that, you'll like White Diamond!
We hadn’t eaten here since probably 2015 timeframe. Thought we’d give it another shot, since it wasn’t good then either. Showed up to a sign saying dining room was closed, so I placed a to-go order. Ordered 2 adult entrees with sides and 2 kids cheeseburger meals with fries. Was told they didn’t have any fries because they turned the fryer off. Got our food and paid and was charged for adult cheeseburgers and I then asked why. They said “oh, we’re out of those.” Okay, cool whatever, but maybe tell the customer that when they order. Get home with the food to find the driest mustard-based pork sandwich I’ve ever eaten. The consistency and texture is that of a dry tuna sandwich, as another reviewer previously mentioned. I couldn’t agree with them more. It’s like compacted pork sawdust. If you want a good bbq sandwich, steer clear of this place. Oh, the baked beans were good though.
Okay where do I begin... If memory serves me correctly this place has been owned by the same family since 1940. Walking into this establishment was nostalgic, like I was in an old school diner which was a nice feeling. The lady that took my order was extremely nice, she even gave me two hush puppies for free. I ordered shrimp and fries and tenders and fries for my son. Almost everything is fresh not frozen. They have huge containers of freshly cut potatoes soaking in water and the fried options are not pre battered. The taste of the food was lacking... lacked flavor and lacked the right seasoning therefore for me this place was a dud. If you desire food that is seasoned good and taste good do not go here. If you are good with food that lacks seasoning and flavor this is the place for you.

It's really hard to give this place a rating. Our service sucked. The waitress was not very good. She didn't seem friendly. And she brought me the wrong food. She also only came to our table to take our order and deliver our food. Other than that, she didn't come to check on us or give a refill. We had to go up front for the check. The man that came to the register was nice. He saw she got our order wrong. And he heard that the ketchup bottle exploded when we went to squeeze it. So he made it right and didn't charge us for drinks or our fried Pickles. We didn't ask him to do that. So we thought that was really kind of him. We thought the food was good but a little too salty.

Oh, smoked 1/2 chicken and shrimps or catfish also…..
My family have been patrons for over 30 years, and if you have never had their fresh cut French fries, you are missing out!!!

Built in the 40's and still in business, no advertising. I had a fried hot dog with onions, chili and slaw, with real French fries ????????????.
Slaw was of the chain as was the hotdog ????.
They support our Troops. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. I'll be back.
Quaint little BBQ joint right off 247. Its been there awhile and for good reason, the food is wonderful. The BBQ is tangy vs sweet but it is soo good. The fries are cut fresh everyday. The best part, the Brunswick Stew. The stew was off the charts delicious, highly recommend. It was the perfect balance of tomato to BBQ. The seats were a little uncomfortable but have been the same seats since they opened many moons ago. Ambiance is great and makes you feel you are in a roadside BBQ! Will definitely be back.
