So here is a very mixed review.

Firstly, parking!! Be prepared to have to park quite a distance from the cafe. Unless you have a blue badge like my mother did have. We could park on the double yellows, fortunately.

It is a lovely little place but unfortunately the service wasn't very good. We were served dessert to our table (table of 4) without lunch plates having being cleared away. We ended up having to move some plates to a unoccupied table to make room for them.

I am guessing this is due to the staff being quite young, although very polite and lovely. I can only guess they may have been overwhelmed with the work, or maybe used to having a supervisor there, which that Sunday there can not have been one in the cafe.

The food looked absolutely lovely when it came.

Myself and my mother had a panini, tuna melt and cheese, and ham. With Coleslaw and crisps. The Coleslaw was amazing, very yummy. The crisps were not favoured. I like ready salted, but standard walkers would have probably accompanied the panini much better. Unfortunately the paninis weren't very nice. The cheese was very mature, which overpowered the tuna and mothers ham. (never known them to be made with such strong cheese, or we would've asked for it to be made with a mild cheese). It had not melted, so it was very dry for the both of us.

The Victoria sponge was absolutely divine. It was the best one I had tasted. The cake was moist and packed full of flavour. It was amazing! (Thank you)

I will also say that it is higher priced than most places, which doesn't matter really because of the location.

At first, I thought that allowing dogs was really lovely.

Unfortunately, I soon realised how it probably should not happen after a 3rd dog entered after the other two had left, slobbering all over and swinging its mouth back and forth with the saliva flicking all over. It really did put us off.

I found it very unhygienic when I reflected on it. I certainly wouldn't want dog saliva flicking up my leg, or worse, on my table or food (I am a dog owner also, so really not against animals)

Fab first visit. Grown ups had panini's while the kids loved their waffles. Good menu, very nice quality and pleasant staff. Will definitely be back for another visit.

This place is a little gem!! Amazing food!! Great place!! Great staff!!! Ordered a flat white, bacon sarnie and kids ham sarnie! Quality produce!!! Genuinely best bacon sarnie I've had! Had mushroom and tomato on!! Highly recommend!!! Thank you!!!

Fabulous and recently opened independent village café in the former Post Office. Friendly and welcoming staff with a really cozy atmosphere and tasteful setting.

Feedback is that (particularly being the only customer there at opening time), attention to detail is very important. The bacon sandwich is advertised on the menu as being available on white or granary. I didn't specify and I wasn't asked. As a result, my sandwich arrived in white, when I would have preferred granary. That was my reason for a four star rating, when everything else was deserving of five stars. It's the attention to detail that matters.

Nevertheless, it was an excellent bacon butty, served with a delicious flat white, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I will definitely be coming back regularly.

Came across this place when we were out on a walk, what a complete surprise, fab cafe, full English and cake to finish, very clean, good atmosphere, definitely recommend ????

I have visited Whisk on several occasions now and always look forward to going again. Staff are really nice and friendly. I usually meet up here with friends for a coffee or lunch for a catch up. I have had a variety of things off the menu including cakes, brownies, waffles and paninis which have all been delicious. I even took a brownie box home with me to share with family as they are so good!
