Had a wonderful experience. Our server was so fantastic. She is a GEM. Host was great, food was incredible. Absolutely NO complaints. I got the roasted chicken and my husband got the turkey dinner. We also each had a cocktail which were FANTASTIC—i got the grapefruit cosmo and he got the eclipse margarita. This was the perfect honeymoon dinner. We really appreciate The Whip and will be back.
The culinary journey at this restaurant was a mix of highs and lows. My son’s choice, the whip burger, was a flavor revelation deserving of 5 stars on its own. However, the fries fell short, preventing a perfect score. On the brighter side, the BLT shone with its delicious goodness. A worthwhile dining experience, especially for that standout burger!
I recommend this place to anyone looking for lunch. The atmosphere is very old fashioned and cool. The food had no complaints at my table. Our waitress was a bit tired in the beginning and was quiet, but towards the end she pepped up. The pasta is really good. The BLT sandwich and salad are great too. Nothing incredible stood out, (as i’m giving it 4/5) but there’s also nothing wrong. It’s a great structure restaurant and it has great, solid foods. The people working there were nice as well. I recommend all the foods I took pictures of…and probably more. Thanks!
The entrance was a little sketchy lol kinda “scary movie entry way” setting! But the people were super friendly and attentive! The food was amazing! All three things we tried were not disappointing at all! I def recommend. We had the lunch menu. New England Corn Chowder, Maple Buffalo Wings (you can request all flats) and Maple Crème Brûlée!!
Excellent food and great service. This was a favorite special place from my childhood, and going there as an adult did not disappoint!
Always a great time and atmosphere to enjoy. Meal is always excellent and staff is attentive. I got the ribeye and Other dish is Gorgonzola filet.
The service was great but the food was very average at best. The fries tasted like they were fried a while ago and tasted old, the burger was like a frozen burger from a cheap place. The turkey dinner needed seasoning, The stuffing was good but the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes! The gravy had little flavor, the peas had zero seasoning or butter. Very overpriced for basic simple food.
We love the Whip! It's one of our go-to spots for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The staff is excellent, the food is delicious and the ambiance is warm. After dinner, it's lovely to walk through town before heading home. Definitely recommend making reservations, but you'll likely be able to get a spot at the bar even if the dining room is full.
