The Whataburger on Mary Esther Blvd/Cutoff has great customer service & they really do make the items per order, making everything fresh!
Drive thru this morning at around 04:00. Ordered 2 bacon toquitos, 1 sausage b.o.b., 2 bacon toquitos, & ...,2 more sausage b.o.b.s. lol
terrible consolidation on my part but they handle it like pros.... hats off.
Really frustrated with my drive thru experience. Waited 20 minutes from ordering to get to the window for breakfast. Realized I forgot to order a sausage patty and asked for it at the window. They said no, they line was too long and I'd have to get back in line. 1) It is not my fault that they are backed up. 2) i know there's a bucket of sausage patties waiting to be put on biscuits and it would take 10 seconds to grab one 3) i waited another 7 minutes after that for my food... Which was definitely enough time to grab me a sausage patty. And the woman's attitude made it worse... She huffed at me when I asked for the sausage, then asked if i wanted the food i ordered. ?? "So, do you want this?" She says. Would it have been ideal for me to remember the sausage at the order station? Obviously. She offered for me to get back in the drive thru line... And wait another 30 minutes for a sausage patty that is literally ready right now and you don't want to grab it for me because you have poor management skills to serve the people in your drive thru? I think not. This is the slowest Whataburger in town, but usually a nice experience overall. Not impressed, and really frustrated. Also, if the first ordering window were being utilized, mistakes like this could be easier avoided and people could correct their order before getting to the food window and them refusing to adjust it because "they are behind" which again, could be avoided with better service and management skills.
I have arrived for my curbside order at 7:10pm since it stated that it would be ready between 7:10-7:15. 1 chose a curbside spot and waited till about 7:30pm. I went inside since I noticed no one is planning to come out. When I approached the register two people were waiting on their order, so I asked if they could check on my curbside order and they stated that they have no small buns and what substitute l'd prefer. I made my choice and still waited another 15 min inside till they pack it. Everyone who had ordered and waited have gotten their food, but me. Then I saw my bag was there ready to go, but the employee stayed that she'll put fresh fries for me that she just started frying, I said no thank you I can't wait any longer, it's already been 35 min after my order should have been ready.
Then when we make it home to sit down and have dinner we realize that we are missing a sandwich (double Whataburger) and honey mustard sauce first chicken strips (they placed honey BBQ instead, nothing alike).
So I drive back to ask for my missing burger and manager (grey shirt) decided to dig through trash to find my order receipt to verify to ensure I am not lying. Why would I make and extra trip to this place to ba treated disrespectfully again?! So once she saw that i in fact had a double whataburger on my order she asked ti make it, which took them another 15-20 min to make.
Overall the worst experience.
Usually a quick and easy experience, but lately it's taken 20+ minutes to get a simple Whataburger after 10pm. Food is good as usual, but the waits are becoming ridiculous with the late night management running a clown show.
What amazing employees at this whataburger. . We would definitely come back. So friendly. They took care of us.

Great food and friendly staff. Wish we had a Whataburger closer to home. We always eat here while we're in Florida.
