The bagels here have the right chew, crust and texture. I usually like to just get a bagel from here in the mornings. Service can be pretty quick if you come here early enough. If i come in around 8 AM on a weekend, there’s often no wait at all. Would treat it as more of a take out spot since there’s little seating but the park next to it a good spot to eat if the weather’s nice too!
Yummy warm toasted bagel with generous amount of cream cheese. Bagel had a nice crusty exterior and chewy interior. There are a few stools and a small counter for “dining in” but mostly a spot to grab a bite and coffee to go. Parking on the side streets around the corner. It’s a small galley kitchen so expect to wait a few minutes for your food.
TLDR: coming from a “water bagel” enthusiast, these bagels in terms of texture seemed slightly off, schmear was good, service was slow
Sesame bagel w/ scallion schmear: 6/10 - the bagel itself is … alright. I’ve definitely had better bagels, definitely had worse. The schmear though is what’s taking all the points here. The scallion schmear is flavorful, creamy, and not too thick. However, the bagel itself was lacking :/ Price was $5.24 w tax.
Service: 7/10 - everyone seemed nice, but the service can definitely be slow since there are 2 people working. Expect to wait at least 15-20 minutes to get your order.
Note: Seems like they run out of everything bagels pretty quickly (by 11ish they were all out).
Great walk up bagel spot with fast service. It’s hard to miss this spot driving down Madison and after weeks of missing its operating hours I finally tried a sesame bagel with creme cheese and lox. Not my #1 in Seattle but if I lived closer by I’d probably be here once a week!
Just move here from the East coast and was pleasantly surprised to find my local bagel shop being SO good. I’ve gone here twice this week already, got the BEC and the Lox, my BF got two bagels as well that he thoroughly enjoyed as well.
The owners were so nice and gave great recommendations. My oat milk latte was phenomenal, my BF got a normal coffee and said it was one of the best too. Very dog friendly since it’s on the street, so I recommend going on your morning walk with your pup!
Very expensive and wasn’t able to eat most of the lox as it wasn’t cleaned well. very disappointing. Would recommend going to Rubenstein’s instead.
I think this place is really amazing if you get there early in the day. But if you get there two hours to close, they are out of a lot of their spreads. The bagels themselves are really good. But not all spreads are created equal.
I wanted a plain cream cheese spread on an everything bagel, but they were out of the plain. So I opted for the vegan plain. It was a mistake. It tastes almost like nothing with an essence of coconut. It made the really good everything bagel taste bad. I couldn’t eat more than two bites, which was sad.
I feel disappointed by this, especially considering how good it is sometimes. The customer service is really good, they are very kind. No fault of the workers at all.
I think if you want to guarantee a good flavor selection, go there earlier in the day. I went at about 12:40, it was too late. It’s a popular spot, so it makes sense that a lot of things run out.
The bagels were good and fresh. Line was slow but it’s a 2-person operation so no gripes there. However, it’s very overpriced in my opinion. 1 BEC and 1 bagel with schmear was $17.
