Our room was clean....beds were comfortable.. area was quiet and peaceful. Everything was great.....housekeeper for my room was pleasant, kind, happy and loved what she did....me too. Can't wait til next year.....definitely going to stay again. Loved it...
My husband and I were traveling back from Nashville when our car was having issues and it was not safe to drive any further. It was 11pm at night when we got a room at this hotel. Upon walking into the room none of the lights worked except for in the bathroom. We decided to check the mattress just to make sure it was safe and found German roaches in the bed (if you know anything about roaches, these are the WORST type. They will travel with you, infest cars, houses, apartments. They are a living nightmare). Since we had only been there for 10 minutes and hadn’t brought anything in, we immediately went to the front desk, showed them pictures I took of one of the roaches in the bed and asked for a refund. Charles was working the desk and said he didn’t have the code to provide our refund at the moment, but that the manager would contact us in the morning and issue our refund. Refund was never received and anytime I call, no one picks up. We drove very slowly in our car (which was busted and needed repairs) to the comfort inn down the street. I honestly wouldn’t be writing this review if they had kept their word and refunded us, especially with the picture evidence I had.
The room admittedly surprised me. Will definitely use again. They are updating rooms. My advice try them out. The more people who visit, the quicker Livingston will have a good reasonably priced hotel that is in good shape.
I paid a modest rate to stay here. I was never bothered by ownership or housekeeping in a negative way. As someone who travels for work and likes to live as cheaply as possible without sacrificing things like a quiet and safe atmosphere, plenty of hot water, and a comfortable bed full of pillows... this has been a great experience and if you're travel goals align with my own, this is the best place to stay in or around Livingston. The old man who owns it is a good guy and I'm always pleased when the money I spend can go to a small business as opposed to a corporation.
We were very pleased with our room. The bed was very comfy, it was clean, very quiet and i had a great night sleep. The AC worked great and the room had a good clean smell to it. Some newer hotels are damp and moldy but not this room. It appears they are trying to make updates by using items from other rooms that they no longer use. Example: the sink was a different color than the toilet or tub, the faucet handle did not match the faucet.... HOWEVER, this was a great nights stay for the best price you will find. Very basic but I will stay here again. They just need to clean up and repair the outside. They were currently working on the lobby and it is looking nice. Pizza Hut next door had great pizza too.
Was very surprised. The room was clean and nice. Nice hot shower with good water pressure. The owner was very friendly and helpful when it came to places to eat.
As many have said we wouldn't have stayed based on the outside but had read reviews. The room seemed freshly remodeled and smelled clean. The refridgerater did not have a freezer and we did not find an ice machine. The bathroom has pretty tile and a nice shower head but there was no trash anywhere in the room. The bed spread was beautiful. With fine embroidered flowers, It reminded me of one I might see at grandma's or a B.&B. It was comfortable to sleep on. The towels were thin but dried me off fine. We would stay there again and I would recommend it as well. Great value. Had it had a trash can and ice I would have rated it 5.
Here's why TripAdvisor reviews are important: had I just drove by this place, I would have never stayed here. But, as I've never been to Livingston and came here for one night to watch my son play baseball against UWA, I just needed a place to shower and sleep. I looked at the reviews for this place and decided to trust them. Good move. It's clean, has good cable and wifi, great service and is really close to the field. I would definitely recommend this place based on the inside. Get past the outside. They are also remodeling. It was a very good stay.
