I was supposed to have my filling appointment on 11/03/24 but due to my phobia i had a panic attack, I went in on the 12/03/24 and the dentists where nothing but supportive and caring (granted im a 27 year old man) I owe them nothing but huge respect fir the support they gave me
Waste of time. Not an emergency dental centre as it claims to be.....
After moving to the area I encountered excruciating toothache and my face became very swollen. I tried looking for a NHS dentist but nobody is taking on new patients. I contacted 111 but they told me to take painkillers! I eventually got through to Wiltshire dental helpline who help people like me with no dentist. It took me over 130 attempts and 6 days to get through.
I was given an appointment at West Swindon health centre as an emergency..
I read the reviews and my hopes of getting treatment were dashed but I went along anyway.
Needless to say what a waste of time. After filling out the necessary forms I was led into a room. Not even a dental room just a room with a reclining chair. The dentist took one look at my mouth and said you need to see your own dentist because you have an abscess and we don't do root canal or tooth extractions etc.
That was it!! So much for emergency dentistry.
I believe this is a con. They take your £28.50 then send you on your way.
Don't waste your time.
This country has gone to pots. Where are all the NHS appointments?
I have searched every dentist in a 100mile radius of Swindon and not 1 is taking on NHS patients.
Absolutely useless dentist's !
Save your time and money and don't bother going here, they will not help you.
Was scheduled for an emergency appointment, while booking I specifically asked if tooth extraction could be provided on site - person confirmed 2 times that it's more then possible.
After sitting in the chair for 2 minutes and getting my x-ray done I was informed that they don't have enough time to do the extraction today (although I was perfectly on time for my appointment, so that's not the reason) and I should go to see a PRIVATE DENTIST instead.
That's it, and for this "helpful consultation" they charged me a standard appointment fee. Wasted money, wasted day off.
Oh yeah, they proposed to check with the hospital if they could help me, but the doctor sarcastically informed me that the waiting time is 2-3 months and "you will be rejected anyways".
Incredibly incompetent, ignorant and rude dentist , would newer trust Wiltshire dental access service again.
Went with an abcess on my tooth but had also 2 broken one's all next to each other, have to say that I don't do dentists had bad experiences a few times and cost has meant I haven't been for good few yrs , the reception team were amazing seeing how nervous I was , took time to put me at ease and the dentist took all 3 there & then , didn't feel a thing ???? He was so understanding talked me through it sorry I can't remember his name shame he only does emergency treatment
Was referred here for an emergency dental appointment. Was in agony, could barely open my mouth, very swollen and had pain radiating up to my ear. For £28 I was sat in the chair for less than 2 minutes to be told I have an 'ulcer'. Assumed I had a low pain tolerance, had ulcers before but just went along with it until I could not open my mouth at all! Swelling went to my eye and I got another emergency appointment elsewhere the next day. Turns out all my wisdom teeth are erupting at the same time with no room in my mouth and I have a massive infection in two of them! More money spent, more time off work and more time in pain. Couldn't tell the difference between and ulcer and an infection. Do not recommend.
This place is a joke. Had an emergency dentist appointment booked for 11:20 got stuck in traffic due to the road works and diversions. I called to explain I was running late and was told it was fine my appointment would still be kept. When I arrived I had to wait for over 10 minutes for the woman at the reception to get off the phone (didn’t seem like a serious call as she was laughing and joking). While waiting for her to get off the call the dentist called in another patient and said that the previous patient (me) had not turned up. (By this point i have been waiting almost 10 minutes) when she finally got off the phone. I was told I could either come back at 4pm or I can wait for a triage call! She then proceeded to tell me there was no note on the system to say that I had called them to say I was running late so it was my own fault!
Had a appointment for my daughter with the audiology department, I must say they were so helpful and made my daughter come out of her shell so we'll and she had so much fun when doing her hearing test. The Doctor was amazing and was definitely in the right hands when needing help. Thank you again!
The entire experience was Amazing! from the Reception to the Dentist (Dennis) and the Assistant/Nurse (Ian) they were suuuuuper nice and made me feel at ease. The tooth extraction was pain free and I loved the attention and care showed. Thanks!
