The PARK warmly welcomes dogs, with 80% of visitors enjoying walks with their furry friends. However, the CAFE fails to extend this hospitality. They refuse to serve coffee to go, even from the door, which seems to be a huge inconvenience for them. Such poor customer service will likely cost them all the customers
Terrible service and attitude on several occasions from the male staff member. I accidentally touched the plastic food guard when ordering and practicing got told off for touching it. This isn't the first time this staff member has been rude. I don't know how he has held down a job in customer service for so long!
Nice Cafe now it's finally open. Friendly staff and good choice of hold and cold drinks. Good range of snacks too for the kids. Basic seating inside/outside but with the Cafe being in the middle of the park you can grab a snack and sit in the park!
Great food and service. Excellent prices considering park location. Sells bluebells ice cream and has a wide range of choice. The cafe allows both indoor and outdoor seating where you can watch the children play on the park area. If the weather is good amazing location next to the splash pad. Well worth the visit.
Terrible service! My son who can’t communicate due to his disability pointed at the glass cabinet and a staff member rudely pointed his pen at my sons finger and said ‘don’t do that’
He should have communicated to myself (the adult) then talking directly to a child!
What a shame! It's great to have a cafe on the park but they really don't care about the quality of the food and drinks they serve. The filter coffee tastes like flavoured hot water and they don't seem to mind serving stale teacakes either. If this cafe we're anywhere else it wouldn't survive.
Bring a picnic and all you need is the sun, there's a swimming baths at the entrance, a good park for all ages, skate park and outdoor waterpark, really cheap day out and if your going to let the weather spoil it for you because you cannot wait to get skin cancer, piss of to Spain.
Friendly staff and reasonably priced ice cream. Some of the ice lollies at Markeaton park are twice the price! Think we are lucky to have a cafe at our local park.
